US M1 front seam swivel bale helmet named Mason, Earl H. 34202100 KIA 12.12.1950 Korea
€675.00US M1 front seam swivel bale helmet with IMP liner named Mason, Earl H. 34202100. Earl was born in 1911 and enlisted 9 April 1942. According to research Earl Mason was captured by the Germans and imprisoned in Stalag 3A and Oflag 3-6 Luckenwalde, Brandenburg, Prussia. The helmet is in good condition and retains its original liner and both straps. The helmet is a typical late war example. Interestingly other research shows that Earl H Mason was killed in action serving with 31st Infantry Regiment 7th Infantry Division on 12 December 1950 in Korea. He is remembered on the Wall of Rememberance at the UNMCK.
Nice helmet with a good base for further research!

Rare Heer M36 NCO field blouse with plastic tunic buttons
€2,500.00Rare Heer M36 NCO field blouse with plastic tunic buttons in excellent condition. The field blouse started its life as a factory M40 pattern field blouse which was period tailored with a dark green collar, mounted Litzen and a mounted flatwire BeVo breast eagle. The garment is in near mint condition with most if not all of the fluff in the wool. The interesting detail in the blouse is the implementation of the rare plastic tunic buttons on the front, excluding the shoulderboard buttons. It is unsure why these buttons were introduced but my guess is that it is a prototype or trial run. The buttons are the same size as the regulars but the construction is different. They are single piece moulded examples in green plastic. I have seen several loose buttons of this type but I have never seen a full set on a field blouse. Even it’s because of the details; but these buttons are of the utmost rarity. The blouse retains the insignia for a Unteroffizier der Infanterie. The blouse is a good medium size for modern mannequins and would be hard to upgrade!

Impressive Luftwaffe Afrika photo album with Panzer, artillery and aircraft
€1,400.00Impressive Luftwaffe Afrika photo album with Panzer, artillery and aircraft in good condition. The album is well filled and has approximately 300 photos. The images show the Afrika campaign trough the eyes of a enlisted man serving with a Flak and Aircraft maintenance crewmember. It is mainly focussed on vehicles; be it tanks, trucks and aircraft. It seems that late in 1942 he was wounded and sent back to Germany to recover. This is probably also the reason he was not taken prisoner when the southern front fell. On the first page there is a Russian receipt for food in the Russian POW camp 147. It seems he was sent to the eastern front after healing from his wounds. The photoalbum is really impressive regarding the large number of vehicle and aircraft photos!
