Late war wooden verbandkasten period resprayed ‘Putzzeug’
€125.00Later in the war the German vehicle first aid kit or “Verbandkasten” was made out of wood in stead of steel. Most of these don’t have a label on the inside and are executed in field gray paint. This one is wartime resprayed with Putzzeug indicating it once contained cleaning materials. This one is in very good condition with over 90% of the period paint remaining. The spray painted letters on the front are very aesthetically pleasing and would nicely compliment a medical display!

First pattern bi-colour butterdish marked 2E/K

When this configuration was put together is unclear but both parts are original and is an overall interesting configuration. The bottom part is orange coloured and the lid is a bit brownish.

There is also a dagger hanger inside which indicates this is not a civilian, but a Heer, Luftwaffe, Kriegsmarine or Waffen-SS worn example. Rare original officers overcoat in good used condition!
