The canister retains its long strap and green rubber mask in size 3. The canister is named and has a Feldpost number which could be one of the following numbers; L2317*, with the last digit hard to read I checked the feldpostnumbers starting with 2317 and came up with two Luftwaffe Feldpostnumebrs; 23179, Flak Sturm Abteilung 266 and 23173 for Fallschirm-Kraftfahr-Kompanie 11. With the latter serving only in Italy it is clear that the unit for this gasmask is 23179, Flak Sturm Abteilung 266, which also served in the Netherlands.
