This is textbook example of a M42 single decal helmet marked CKL66 indicating production by Eisenhuttenwerke Thale. The helmet retains its factory applied ET pattern decal and factory paint up to 80%. The helmet retains its original factory applied liner and chinstrap which is named Ustuf. or Untersturmführer Siemers which can be a good base for further research. The helmet is a beautiful and typical combat worn example in untouched condition!

The holster is nicely marked dtu/41 which indicates production by G.J. Ensink u. Co., Spezialfabrik fuer Militaerausruestung, Ohrdruf, Thuringia in 1941, which is rare manufacturer to encounter. The holster features the Lugers serial number on the inside; 6031, which is a interesting feature. Textbook P08 Holster in very nice condition!

The garment is a non electric but insulated example in very good condition. The main zipper is in good working condition. There are no zippers on the sleeves or press studs on the pockets. The loops for the electrical communication cables are also ommitted. This is a late war simplified variant which is a first for me. Rare example that would be very hard to upgrade!

At this point most of the Dutch equipment was reissued to second line troops, foreign eastern ‘volunteers’ and men of the Arbeidsdienst. The breadbag is in used condition, the leather is dry. Inside it is dated CM 1916 and the abbreviations for Arbeitsdienst Gau 1, Arbeidsdienst Gr. 10. Arbeitsdienst Abt. 36. Rare example!
