Single decal Heer M18 Transitional helmet
Stunning M18 transitional single decal Heer helmet. The helmet retains up to 99% of its original finish and decal. The helmet received two reworks; one in apple green with two decals which was reworked around 1942 to ’40 specs with rough textured paint and a ‘mad faced’ Gustav Peiniger toned heer decal. The helmet comes with its original liner and originally attached pre war Czech chinstrap. The helmet had its lugs wartime removed, most probably to save weight. The helmet is a nice example with a very rare decal!

Rare enameled M42 messkit by Deutsche Emailwarenfabrik (DEF)
Messkits and canteens enameled in these colours are attributed to be made by the Deutsche Emailwarenfabrik (DEF) run by Oskar Schindler. Messkits and canteens, unmarked, in these specific colours have been found in the old factory storage of the former DEF. There are several other makers of enameled steel canteens and messkits but they all carry different characteristic features such as markings or specific colours. No other maker utilizes these light gray and blue colours and lacks markings. The light blue “wash” on top of the enamel is one of the typical features. The messkit is in good used condition and has one hardly noticeable period repair to the hinges. A very nice and rare messkit!

Impressive US 82nd airborne grouping Robert L. Taylor HQ Co. 504 PIR
Excellent uniform grouping to Private Robert L. Taylor, T5. The grouping consists of his M1942 jump suit, his ike jacket, a set of tan leather gloves, the Saga of the 82nd Airborne division, trouser belt and a beanie cap. The items have been obtained directly from Taylor and come with a signed letter of provenance stating the source. Robert L. Taylor was a close friend to Bachenheimer who was a well known individual in the 82nd airborne division and they did many recon missions together. The group would be hard to upgrade and a perfect base for further research. I enclose a copy of his honorable discharge papers with more informations. He fought in Sicily, Normandy, Naples-Foggia, Rhineland, Rome-Arno, Central Europe and Ardennes – I am sure there is more to find on him!

That men might live – The story of the Medical department in the ETO
This booklet, a small format (approximately 10 cm x 13 cm, or 10 1⁄2 cm x 13 1⁄2 cm) pocket version, is one of a series of G.I. Stories of the Ground, Air and Service Forces in the European Theater of Operations, issued by the Orientation Branch, Information and Educa- tion Division, ETOUSA. These handy booklets, cover a particular unit or service branch, and were mostly distributed by the units, around the end of WW2 (late 1944-course 1945). They were intended to be taken along, or sent home, by members of that particular unit (passed by Army censors). Most stories were printed in France (after its Liberation), while only a few were printed in Germany (during Occupation).

Excellent and very rare green coloured urea resin M31/M42 canteen cup. Based on the condition I would say that this is a ground dug example which has affected the marking as well but can still be deciphered to MPD code 1W/K which indicates production by Julius Posselt, Gablonz an der Neisse, Reichsgau Sudetenland and that the used material is Urea resin (a certain type of bakelite) with an organic filler material. Very rare cup in ground dug condition!
