The breadbag is a typical early example with leather reinforcements and aluminium hardware but it shows an unusual shade of almost tan fabric. The breadbag is marked but this is sadly unreadable. The fabric shows a lot of large staining. Nice original example!

€950.00Rare and complete ‘Maps Only’ escape case with both France and Holland, Germany escape maps. The pouch is in good condition. The compass is in working condition and often if not most of the time missing. The invasion money is for the French invasion. There are two of the original Silk ‘Escape’ maps. There is one two sided Holland, Germany 43/C and 43/D map but the rare one is the one sided France I.S.9. (WEA) map which is dated March 1944. This is a very nice and complete set in excellent condition, a must have for US and British Airborne collectors!

Wooden map plotting board or Kartenbrett with rare issue carrying bag
€475.00A very nice original wooden map plotting board or Kartenbrett as used by officers in the field. These wooden boards where used by officers to observe maps without making them wet or dirty. These where vital in the field and scarce to find! The map plotting board features a large celluloid cover on the inside to prevent the maps getting wet and to mark maps without drawing on the map itself. The map plotting board comes together with its rare issued carrying bag which is a perfect fit for the board. The carrying bag is manufactured out of some type of impregnated fabric to keep the board dry. The bag is nicely maker marked but this is sadly not completelyreadable, the maker was located in Kassel and the bag has been produced in 1925! The bag shows some reinforcements and repairs which are all period done and only give this set more character. This set would look amazing swung over the shoulder of a combat officer. Very nice untouched Kartenbrett complete with the original carrying bag which would be impossible to upgrade!

Third pattern issue Marschkompass “A” made by Emil Busch AG, Rathenow (cxn)
€85.00Excellent German army issue compass or Marschkompass. This is the the third pattern issued example made with a bakelite housing and with a capital “A” on top which indicates a clockwise 64 Mills direction. The production of this third pattern started post May 1944. The compass is nicely marked cxn which indicates production by Emil Busch A.-G., Rathenow. The compass is in good used condition and still complete with its salty factory issue string. Nice late war “A” marked compass!
