Rare matching US army frogskin camouflage jacket and trousers
€2,450.00Rare matching US army frogskin camouflage jacket and trousers in lightly worn condition. These sets were issued and worn by members of the 41st Infantry battalion, 2nd Armored Division during the Normandy campaign. Soon after first fielding they were retracted from service after a number of friendly fire incidents which happened because other US troops mistook the Frogskin for German camouflage patterns.
The set is in very good, lightly worn condition which is a rare feature to find for these garments. Let alone finding a matching set made in the same print, in a matching size. The jacket retains its gas flap and is missing only one button. The manufacturing labels on both the trousers and jacket are unreadable. The jacket is a large size 36R and the trousers are a W38L31 which are both good mannequin sizes. Comparing the waist size of the jacket and trousers are very close with only a few inches the same so it is a perfect mannequin set. The jacket and trousers are made in a colour and pattern matching Frogskin camouflage. Very hard to find a matching set in a good size for a mannequin!

Rare Dutch made M42 canteen
€375.00Beautiful and very rare canteen most probably made by the Dutch company VerBliFa (De Vereenigde Blikfabrieken) during the German occupation. The canteen is in used but good condition. VerBliFa (De Vereenigde Blikfabrieken) was the main manufacturer of the Dutch pre 1940 army mess kits, canteens and other stuff, these items were made in the exact same way. Stamped sheet metal and then tinned! The canteen is missing its cup. On the back of the harness a fork is fitted from the four piece cutlery set which has been there since the end of the war. The canteen is unmarked which is often the case with these Dutch produced canteens. Maybe one of the rarest variant of the M42 canteen there is, and for sure one of the best canteens I have ever offered!
