Interesting example, the maker of this tag lacked a proper G stamp which is probably one of the most used in the whole set. He used a C instead. So the tag should read; Gemischte Granatwerfer Ausbildungs Kompanie Motorisiert; Grenadier Ersatz und Ausbildungs Bataillon 309 which supplied troops to the 153 and 463 division. Later in 1943 it was added to Grenadier Feldausbildungs Regiment 218 on the Krim. Armee during the Westfeldzug. After that it was stationed as a coastal defence unit near the English channel. In february 1944 it was moved to Italy with Heeresgruppe C. There it saw action positioned at Ciampino south of Rome. It delivered 278 shots aimed at Anzio and Nettuno. After the Allies marched on Rome both guns retreated on june 6 1944 and where subsequently destroyed at Civititaveccia due to destroyed railroads. They were captured by the Americans and sent to the USA for research. They used the two destroyed wrecks to build one functioning example. The Eisenbahn batterie 712 was then outfitted with two captured French 24 CM (E) 557(f) guns. September 1944 it was refitted with two 28 cm guns and would see action in Italy again. This is a rare to find Erkennungsmarke!

€675.00
US M1 front seam swivel bale helmet with IMP liner named Mason, Earl H. 34202100. Earl was born in 1911 and enlisted 9 April 1942. According to research Earl Mason was captured by the Germans and imprisoned in Stalag 3A and Oflag 3-6 Luckenwalde, Brandenburg, Prussia. The helmet is in good condition and retains its original liner and both straps. The helmet is a typical late war example. Interestingly other research shows that Earl H Mason was killed in action serving with 31st Infantry Regiment 7th Infantry Division on 12 December 1950 in Korea. He is remembered on the Wall of Rememberance at the UNMCK.
Nice helmet with a good base for further research!

Rare Heer M36 NCO field blouse with plastic tunic buttons
€2,500.00
Rare Heer M36 NCO field blouse with plastic tunic buttons in excellent condition. The field blouse started its life as a factory M40 pattern field blouse which was period tailored with a dark green collar, mounted Litzen and a mounted flatwire BeVo breast eagle. The garment is in near mint condition with most if not all of the fluff in the wool. The interesting detail in the blouse is the implementation of the rare plastic tunic buttons on the front, excluding the shoulderboard buttons. It is unsure why these buttons were introduced but my guess is that it is a prototype or trial run. The buttons are the same size as the regulars but the construction is different. They are single piece moulded examples in green plastic. I have seen several loose buttons of this type but I have never seen a full set on a field blouse. Even it’s because of the details; but these buttons are of the utmost rarity. The blouse retains the insignia for a Unteroffizier der Infanterie. The blouse is a good medium size for modern mannequins and would be hard to upgrade!

Impressive Waffen-SS 1940 campaign photo album SS “Der Führer”
€2,500.00
This is one of the best photo albums I have had the chance to offer up to today. This photo album belonged to a member of SS-Standarte Der Führer. It depicts most of the important battles in the 1940 campaign. I have photographed all of the pages and photos so you can see how well documented the album is. The photos were added in the war and have not been removed, replaced or added. The images are not in chronological order but you can tell by the size, tone, contrast and border which photo belongs to which set. The photo album shows a number of interesting battles and campaigns indicating the owner whitnessed most if not all of these. I will make a list of photographed battles I see in the album below.
Battle for the Grebbeberg; Der Führer was tasked with taking the Grebbenberg neer Rhenen. This was one of the hardest fought battles in the whole 1940 campaign. Based along the Ijssel river this natural mountain was one of the main defence points on the Dutch Ijssel line. The Germans massively underestimated the fierceness of the defenders which meant taking the place took up to 4 times longer as planned. The album shows the area with buildings and also the bunkers on the dykes along the Ijssel. There are images of a German soldier climbing a Grove Den tree with a swastika flag which I believe is on the Grebbeberg. The Grebbeberg is the only place where this type of tree grew along the route of the regiment in 1940.
Battle for Zeeland and The Scheldt; There are images of the town and harbour in Breskens. There are images of knocked out French tanks which fought in this area. British, French and Dutch POW’s are seen. There are several images of the village of Vroenhoven, its Bridge and the Bunker. This was one of the objectives for the Fallschirmjäger dropping at Eben Emael which was next to the village.
The following French campaign shows many interesting places one could easily research by comparing the images with buildings along its campaign route using google streetview.
Needless to say this album is a sure treasure trove for future research. It shows all the interesting things a Waffen-SS photo album should have; tanks, planes, destruction, Dead soldiers, camouflage and lots of uniform photos!

US Navy M1 front seam fixed bale helmet with Firestone liner
€700.00
Textbook US Navy M1 front seam fixed bale helmet in untouched condition. This is a typical early to mid war US M1 helmet with a front seam and fixed bales. The helmets chinstrap has always been over the rear part of the shell as can be seen by the untouched verdigris, patina and oxidation on the shell. The helmet is complete with its original Firestone navy blue liner that was painted together with the shell. Nice and attractive US Navy M1 helmet in excellent condition!
