German ID disc or Erkennungsmarke marked Gewerkschaft Baden 914 or the Baden Trade union. Worn by a miner during the war in the shafts of Baden, Markgraf and Heitersheim. It would have been worn by a foreign labourer interned at the barracks camp. A lot of these ’employees’ would have been forced to work at the Westwall and later drafted in the Volkssturm. A rare example!
