Metal can for the Zündmitttel Sprengpatrone Z with manual
€150.00A unissued metal can for Zündmitttel Sprengpatrone Z complete with its original manual. The can contained a fuse to ignite the Sprengpatrone Z, a explosive devise that was used in the event of demolition of artillery or guns in armoured vehicles. The Sprengpatrone Z and its attributes are rare to find. The canister is in unissued condition with storage wear and nicely marked Zündmittel Spr. Patr. Z. There is a light corrosion externally which in my opinion, could easily be cleaned. Very hard to find with the original manual!

Sadly the canteen is missing the drinking cup but that makes this and excellent example to complete with a nice steel or bakelite cup!

The flask itself is nicely marked MN 43 which (most probably) indicates production by Metallindustrie GmbH. Neunkirchen-Saar (MENESA) in 1943. The canteen comes in a typical late war configuration with a matching cup. Nice late war example!

The cap retains its original lining and sweatband but in my opinion, at some point the insignia was reapplied. The cap is a good medium size for most modern militaria mannequins. The cufftitle is in unissued condition with one minor damage to the top which I have photographed. Very hard to find!
