The canteen itself, the strap and cover are all nicely marked EEF 41 which indicates production by Ewald Eigenbrod Aluminium-und Metallwarenfabrik, Freiling which is a uncommon maker to find! The canteen comes together with a nice black bakelite cup which is dated 1944. The cup could have been added post war but the canteen was found like this. Nice original 1L Labeflasche!

These hoods are the typical winter hoods which were issued later in the war, most probably together with the Italian roll neck sweaters which feature the exact same knit weave pattern. These can be seen on a number of iconic ardennes offensive photographs. One of the rarest winter garment pieces to find which can really finish a mannequin!

Rare Waffen-SS marching boots 1. 4. SS Totenkopf Standarte in good used condition. These boots were once issued and worn by a member in the 1. Kompanie 4. SS Totenkopf Standarte ‘Ostmark’ which had its base and training facilities in Mauthausen. The boots are in worn condition with original SS Totenkopf markings on the top of the shaft. The boots are marked size 40 1/2. Very rare boots in good used condition.

Rare textbook Gaberdine Waffen-SS pattern M44 trousers in near mint condition. Nicely marked Betr. Ra. indicating production by Betriebswerk Ravensbrück (Texled). The trousers have the typical rayon string used in the end of the legs. There is one repair to the back of the trousers and some hand applied stitches inside near the leg string. Otherwise mint and unissued! Superb trousers in superb condition that would nicely match a Erbsentarn jacket!

The carrier features repurposed brown leather straps which can also be encountered on STG44/MP44 pouches. The carrier is nicely marked jet 4 which indicates production by an unknown manufacturer in 1944. This is the first time ever I have encountered a carrier with these repurposed straps! Impossible to upgrade!

The Y-straps are manufactured in 1940 and shows a nice and interesting factory mix of steel and aluminium hardware. Very rare Y-strap which would be hard to upgrade!

MG34/42 barrel changing mitt
€300.00Rare wartime barrel changing mitt for the MG34 and MG42. When firing the MG34 and MG42 continuously the German soldiers where presented with a harsh and difficult task: changing the barrel. The MG34 and MG42 where both made with a quick-change barrel and to help in the changing of the barrel these gloves where invented and issued. These gloves where issued with the accessories of the MG34 and MG42. It is simply used by placing the hand under the strap and using the pad to cover your hand when you grab the hot, sometimes even glowing barrel. The barrel is then placed in the Laufschützer to cool down and a cool new barrel is inserted. According to regulations, the barrel had to be changed after 150 rounds fired continuously. Hard to find item!
