Nice uniform removed insignia grouping for a Hauptmann in Infanterie Regiment 18. The grouping consists of a set of shoulderboards for a Hauptmann with the cyphers for Infanterie- and later Grenadier Regiment 18. This unit was a part of the 6. Infanterie Division which fought in the 1940 campaigns. Next to the shoulderboards is a nice embroidered breast eagle and a set of BeVo collar tabs. Nice and aesthetic set that would be a instant display!

Unlike most of the wartime used flashlights the “knijpkat” doesn’t have a battery but uses a small internal dynamo. The mechanism is still in great condition and the torch still works! Excellent example which is finished in blue paint which is a first for me!

Typical wartime “Knijpkat” torch. These flashlights where made utilizing forced labour from Konzentrationslager Herzogenbusch. Unlike most of the wartime used flashlights the “Knijpkat” doesn’t have a battery but uses a small internal dynamo. This is the Aluminium 7424 model which never was finished with green paint such as the 7424-03. The Aluminium variants are said to be made from recycled aircraft aluminium. The mechanism is still in great condition and the torch still works!
