Combat worn Waffen-SS trousers in Erbsentarn camouflage
NewCombat worn Waffen-SS trousers in Erbsentarn camouflage. This is a nice field worn pair with a nice fade, and a few small period repairs. The trousers are slightly faded but this is exaggerated in the flash photography. The trousers have a stronger more vibrant colour in hand. The trousers are made from a nice blend of different swatches of Erbsentarn camouflage material creating a nice palette of colours. The trousers are marked inside Statnifilm indicating it was stocked in a uniform house for movies. There are many pairs of these but this is one of the only few ones in just the right amount of wear. Some small repairs; but not one big repair which can sometimes be seen. A nice pair of trousers in good used condition!

Rare enameled M42 messkit by Deutsche Emailwarenfabrik (DEF)
NewMesskits and canteens enameled in these colours are attributed to be made by the Deutsche Emailwarenfabrik (DEF) run by Oskar Schindler. Messkits and canteens, unmarked, in these specific colours have been found in the old factory storage of the former DEF. There are several other makers of enameled steel canteens and messkits but they all carry different characteristic features such as markings or specific colours. No other maker utilizes these light gray and blue colours and lacks markings. The light blue “wash” on top of the enamel is one of the typical features. The messkit is in good used condition. A very nice and rare messkit!

Soldbuch to Karl Ernst Sonntag, Grenadier Regiment 1044
NewInteresting Soldbuch to Karl Ernst Sonntag, serving with Grenadier-Regiment 1044 and Grenadier-Regiment 116. The soldbuch was filled 27 august 1939 and is literally over filled with interesting entries. He first served with the 1. Infanterie-Kolonne at the very outbreak of the war. Over the years he rose steadiy through the ranks, starting as a Schütze and receiving promotions to Gefreiter and Obergefreiter in 1940, then Stabsgefreiter in 1942. Finally, he reached the rank of Unteroffizier on 15 April 1945, just weeks before the end of the conflict.
He was later transfered to Grenadier-Regiment 1044, serving in the 8. (schwere) Kompanie, a heavy weapons unit. Throughout his long service he was issued a whole arrae of armament to include a Gewehr rifle (serial 1374), a Seitengewehr bayonet, and a size 2 gasmask. He was even issued a flag at one point in August 1944!
In May 1943 he was treated for Fleckfieber (Typhus) at field hospitals 3/606 and 1/533 before being evacuated via Lazarett-Zug (hospital train) to Reserve-Lazarett Saarburg. He was later treated at Reserve-Lazarett Braunau in the Sudetenland in 1944 where he received a Führergeschenk package. Because he was away for medical reasons so often, he had to get replacement clothing at a collection point in Krakau in May 1944 for gear lost in service.
He was awarded the EKII on 20 April 1942. At this time his unit, the 253. Infanterie-Division, was fighting the brutal Rzhev Meat Grinder near Moscow, holding the line against massive Soviet counter-attacks. He followed this with the Winterschlacht im Osten medal in August 1942. Most impressively, he was awarded both the Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz and Silber in May 1944 while fighting in the Kovel sector of Poland with Grenadier-Regiment 1044, proving he saw plenty of heavy combat.
The last entries in his book suggest he remained with his unit until the very end. Most of the 253. Infanterie-Division eventually surrendered to Soviet forces in the Deutsch-Brod (Havlíčkův Brod) area of the Czech Republic in May 1945.
This is a impressive and obviously combat worn Soldbuch which was issued in 1939 and was still carried in 1945. It surely whitnessed many interesting battles on the Eastern Front and beyond. This is truly a interesting time capsule worthy of further research, belonging to a small-statured soldier of only 1.53 meters who stayed in the fight until the very end!

Nahkampfspange Soldbuch grouping Paul Pützer, Grenadier-Regiment 453 and 2. Fallschirmjäger-Division
NewVery interesting Soldbuch to Paul Pützer, serving with Grenadier-Regiment 453 and later the 2. Fallschirmjäger-Division. The soldbuch was issued on 4 October 1940 and is over filled with interesting entries. He first served with the 2. Kompanie Infanterie-Ersatz-Bataillon 58. Over the years he rose steadiy through the ranks, starting as a Schütze to Gefreiter on 1 March 1942, Obergefreiter on 1 November 1942, and finally to Unteroffizier on 1 July 1943.
He was later transfered to the 2. Fallschirmjäger-Division and was eventually discharged on 16 April 1945 by order of the division. Throughout his long service he was issued a whole arrae of armament to include various rifles (serial numbers 6946, 3340, and 46632) and a size 2 gasmask.
His medical history shows spending significant time in various hospitals during 1944, including Reserve-Lazarett I Brieg and facilities in Schreiberhau and Breslau. Because he was away for medical reasons, he often had to get replacement clothing and equipment. He was issued an “iron portion” (emergency rations) in Aachen in August 1944.
He was awarded a high number of prestigious decorations to include the Iron Cross first and second class, Infantry Assault Badge, Close Combat Clasp in Bronze, and the Wound Badge. These awards prove he was a hardened veteran of many close-quarters battles. His identity disc (Erkennungsmarke) corresponds to his initial training unit, 2./Inf. Ers. Batl. 58, with the roster number 1119.
The Bronze Nahkampfspange by C.E. Juncker is missing its needle. The infantry assault badge is made by Assmann. The Iron Cross first class is a typical example by Deumer.
This is a very impressive and obviously combat worn Soldbuch grouping which was issued in 1940 and was still carried in 1945. It surely whitnessed many interesting battles ranging from the eastern front to service on the west with the 2. Fallschirmjäger Division at the end. This is truly a interesting time capsule worthy of further research, belonging to a former waiter from Cologne who stayed in the fight until the very end!

Afrikakorps Soldbuch grouping to Gefreiter Gerhard Strauß
NewThis collection of personal effects and official documents provides a comprehensive record of Gerhard Strauß, a Berliner who served as a Kraftfahrer. Born on February 7, 1922, Strauß worked as a machine fitter for the Deutsche Reichsbahn before his military service. His transition to military life is documented by his 1940 civilian identity card and his subsequent Soldbuch, which tracks his promotion to Gefreiter in August 1942.
The grouping is interesting for documenting his service in the North African theater. Strauß was assigned to the 6. Nachschub-Kolonne 572 and was issued extensive tropical equipment, including an olive sun helmet or Tropenhelm, a tropical uniform, a mosquito net and driver goggles. His participation in this campaign is further confirmed by an Afrikakorps cuff title and his receipt of the German-Italian Commemorative Medal for Africa on January 31, 1942. Among his personal effects is a leather wallet embossed with “Ricordo della Libia” (Souvenir of Libya), which still contains a Berlin transit ticket.
Beyond his deployment, the Soldbuch meticulously details his medical and administrative history, including vaccinations for smallpox, typhus, and dysentery administered between 1941 and 1943. His service concluded with his capture by Allied forces. His status as a prisoner is preserved through an American identification photo and handwritten POW numbers from both American and British authorities (4WG-13185 and D-801438) on the back of his paybook. The grouping is completed by his aluminum identity disc, which matches the unit information recorded in his files. A nice set for further research!

Rare Luftwaffe FL23883 Laco Durowe Beobachtungsuhr
New€4,500.00Rare Luftwaffe FL23883 Laco Durowe Beobachtungsuhr in excellent condition. This is a textbook example in exceptional condition. The mechanism is manufactured by Laco Lacher & Co with the case produced by Durowe indicating Deutsche Uhrenrohrwerk. The dial is approximately 55mm in diameter, the case measures 62mm. This is really, a large timepiece.
The piece is still running a reasonable pace keeping the time in the short period I have tested it. The piece is in virtually unworn condition, still retaining the ink marking to the back of the housing. Externally there are no scratchs markings of the piece being opened in a incorrect way; nor is there any wear points to the metal finish.
These watches were worn by Pilots and Observers. They were issued prior to flight and returned after return. These were not watches to be worn by the airmen when not flying and are very hard to acquire.
The piece is complete and would be very hard to upgrade, a choice piece that would be very hard to upgrade!

Rare simplified sling from recycled ammunition belt material
€375.00Rare simplified sling from recycled ammunition belt material. The sling is made from captured Czech or Polish ammunition belt material. This material was used troughout the German army for a number of applications. As far as I can judge; this is either one of two things. Most plausibly this is a late war sling manufactured for use with the Volksgewehr 98. There is another theory indicating it is a sling for the MP38 as issued with the 6 cell MP38 pouch which has the exact same material and buckle for the sling. The sling is the typical size for a K98 sling and is in used condition. The leather tongue is fragile but intact. This is by far one of the rarest slings to find!

Q64 M40 single decal Luftwaffe helmet in two tone camouflage
€3,750.00Stunning Q64 M40 single decal Luftwaffe helmet in two tone camouflage in excellent condition. The helmet is a textbook M40 example with factory fitted liner. The shell is marked Q64 indicating production by Quist. The helmet retains its original chinstrap although the short buckle part is damaged but complete. Externally the helmet shows two period repaints; one is a ‘pink’ hue tan paint which is topped off with a spray painted two-tone camouflage finish. The tan underlaying paint is a typical tan colour referred to by collectors as ‘pink’. The two tone camouflage is typical for the French and Italian theatre. The helmet is in excellent condition retaining up to 95% of its original paint and would be very hard to upgrade!
