Pre war brass carbide lantern dated 1936

The lantern is in overall good condition, the inside is burnt and some pieces of glass have melted but everything is still intact. The lantern is nicely marked 1936 and features a typical pre war WaA. Unlike most of the other pre war examples this one still retains all three blinds. Very nice brass example which are harder to find than the bakelite or steel examples!

€115.00The Italian army messkit (Gavetta Modello 1930) was a commonly seen item within the German army. Prior to re-issue in the German army they where mostly painted green by the Germans. This example came out of a small find in Italy just recently and would be hard to upgrade. I will always pick a nice example in the same condition as pictured with 90% paint or more!

The wristwatch is a typical Wehrmacht issue, not private purchase piece. I have not tested the watch on function. The watch still carries its original supple slightly damaged but original military style strap which are mostly replaced or removed. A real Dienstuhr can be the finishing touch on a mannequin!

This is the the third pattern issued example made with a bakelite housing and with a capital “A” on top which indicates a clockwise 64 Mills direction. The production of this third pattern started post May 1944. The compass is nicely marked cxn which indicates production by Emil Busch A.-G., Rathenow. The compass is in good used condition and features a blueish anodized lid which is rare to encounter and typical for this manufacturer! Nice late war “A” marked compass!
