The canteen is nicely marked DMN 43 which indicates production by Deutsche Metallwerke AG, Neustadt in 1943. The canteen comes in the textbook configuration with its original bakelite drinking cup. Note that the small metal ring which attaches the strap to the screw cap is missing. Textbook 1L Labeflasche!

Neunkirchen-Saar (MENESA). The canteen features very nice black coloured pigskin leather straps. The canteen is a typical late war configuration with a black phenolic resin (bakelite) canteen cup. Textbook M42 canteen in excellent condition!

M31 tropical canteen marked e.m.k. 42
€120.00Nice original “tropical” M31 canteen in good, field used condition. This example comes in a configuration with a black bakelite cup which is sadly cracked as can be seen in the pictures. The flask itself is nicely marked emk 42 which indicates production by Aluminiumwerke Göttingen, GmbH. in 1942, this is one of the rarer to encounter manufacturers out there! Very nice example from a rare maker with webbing straps!

The canteen comes in a textbook late war configuration with a black bakelite cup and pebbled leather straps. Very nice example!

The flask itself is marked CFL 44 which indicates production by Carl Feldhaus Aluminium-und Metallwerke, Lüdenscheid in 1944 and comes in configuration with a 1943 dated bakelite cup. Nice hard used example with a few repairs which would still look great on a mannequin.

€85.00Very nice original RAD or Reichsarbeitsdienst issued canteen in good condition. The canteen cover is nicely marked W.A.L. 2. 37 which indicates production by Westfalische Aluminium Industrie, Junger & Co., Lüdenscheid in february 1937. The cover features a nice typical label which names this canteen to; Arbeitsmann Herb. Basner. Sadly the upper press stud is damaged and not functional anymore. Very nice example with a RAD label!

Large canteen marked WWL 42

The canteen itself is nicely marked WWL 42 which indicates production by Wilhelm Wiesenauer, Aluminiumwarenfabrik Ludwigsburg in 1942. WWL is an extremely rare to find maker and for me the second example I encountered! The canteen is in overall good condition without damages and comes in its original configuration with a black phenolic resin cup!

The flask and the felt cover are both nicely marked EEF 41 which indicates production by Ewald Eigenbrod Aluminium-und Metallwarenfabrik, Freiling in 1943. In textbook configuration with an excellent black urea resin (type of bakelite) cup marked 46/S which is usual for this manufacturer. Excellent matching canteen in a condition that would be very hard to upgrade!

The canteen comes together with a nice black bakelite cup which is dated 1944. The cup could have been added post war but the canteen was found like this. Nice original 1L Labeflasche!

€150.00Brown bakelite canteen cup marked gfc 1940 S which indicates manufacturer Julius Posselt, Gablonz an der Neisse, Reichsgau Sudetenland in excellent condition. This is a rare, first production run example and the earliest known date 1940 which on top of that is brown coloured!

Rare Dutch “VerBliFa” made M42 canteen
€275.00Beautiful and very rare canteen most probably made by the Dutch company VerBliFa (De Vereenigde Blikfabrieken) during the German occupation. The canteen is in used but good condition. VerBliFa (De Vereenigde Blikfabrieken) was the main manufacturer of the Dutch pre 1940 army mess kits, canteens and other stuff, these items were made in the exact same way. Stamped sheet metal and then tinned! The canteen is missing its cup. The canteen is unmarked which is often the case with these Dutch produced canteens. Maybe one of the rarest variant of the M42 canteen there is, and for sure one of the best canteens I have ever offered!

Rare Dutch made M42 canteen
€325.00Beautiful and very rare canteen most probably made by the Dutch company VerBliFa (De Vereenigde Blikfabrieken) during the German occupation. The canteen is in used but good condition. VerBliFa (De Vereenigde Blikfabrieken) was the main manufacturer of the Dutch pre 1940 army mess kits, canteens and other stuff, these items were made in the exact same way. Stamped sheet metal and then tinned! The canteen is missing its cup. On the back of the harness a fork is fitted from the four piece cutlery set which has been there since the end of the war. The canteen is unmarked which is often the case with these Dutch produced canteens. Maybe one of the rarest variant of the M42 canteen there is, and for sure one of the best canteens I have ever offered!

Rare M42 canteen marked AEMA with brown enameled cup
€375.00M42 Feldflasche by AEMA indicating indicating production by Annweiler Email-u.Metall-Werke, Annweil. The canteen is a late war (M42) type with a enameled steel body and cup. The cup is the last model without the handles and solely a small loop for the strap. The brown leather strap is a two piece M42 type. Sadly the buckle on the straps has broken off. The cover is made out of gaberdine and has 3, not 4, press studs. The canteen is in excellent unissued condition. Possibly one of the rarest canteens to find!

A textbook late war canteen in good, used condition!

The canteen is a typical late war example with a rough wool cover with small press studs and black straps. The flask itself is marked SMM 45 and the cup is marked SMM 44 which in my opinion indicates a factory mismatched example produced by Süddeutsche Metallwarenfabrik, Mussbach in early 1945 with left over stock from 1944. Excellent late war M42 which would be hard to upgrade!

€300.00Textbook late war M42 canteen in very good condition. The canteen is a typical late war example with a rough wool cover and mixed pebbled and smooth leather on the straps. The green painted flask is nicely marked kvu which is the late war replacement for RFI which indicates production by Rudolf Fissler KG, Idar-Oberstein in 1944. The cup is matching to the canteen and nicely marked RFI 43 which indicates its most probable production very early in 1944. The canteen is in unissued condition and would be very hard to upgrade!
