M31 canteen strap and cover marked SKN 38 in good used condition. This is a hard to find maker and a nice set to complete!

Textbook M42 canteen in excellent condition. The cup is nicely marked RFI 43 which indicates production by Rudolf Fissler KG, Idar-Oberstein in 1943 which is a rather hard to find manufacturer! Typical two piece construction strap made out of smooth leather. Mint example which would be hard to upgrade!

Late war manufactured short front strap as part of the late war 2-piece canteen straps. This is a long example as used on the large 1L capacity canteens or Labeflasche. This example is manufactured out of typical pebbled leather. Very hard to find spare to complete a late war canteen!

Textbook coconut canteen marked HRE 42 indicating production by Heinrich Ritter, Esslingen. Typical example with first pattern friction buckle closing strap. The canteen is in good used condition and complete with its phenolic resin canteen cup.

Brown bakelite canteen cup marked gfc 1940 S which indicates manufacturer Julius Posselt, Gablonz an der Neisse, Reichsgau Sudetenland in excellent condition. This is a rare, first production run example and the earliest known date 1940 which on top of that is brown coloured!

Black bakelite canteen cup in excellent condition. The cup is nicely marked 3X/S which is an unknown and rare manufacturer which features a small, unknown marking under the MPD code. Rare example!

Textbook M42 (Eis.) canteen excellent condition. The cup is nicely marked L&SL 43 which indicates production by Linnepe & Schiffer, Lüdenscheid in 1943. Perfect example to complete a M42 canteen!

M31 canteen marked C&CW 42 which indicates production by Colsmann & Co, Werdohl in 1942. The canteen comes in the textbook configuration with its original green coloured bakelite drinking cup. The green cup is a nice worn, unmarked example. Textbook M31 canteen with rare green cup!

Textbook late war M42 canteen in excellent condition. The canteen is a typical late war example with a rough wool cover and pigskin leather. The red painted flask is nicely marked FWBN 43 which indicates production by F.W. Brockelmann Aluminiumwerk GmbH KG, Neheim/Ruhrin 1943. The canteen comes in a typical late war configuration with a black bakelite cup marked gfc 1943. Textbook late war example!

Textbook late war M42 canteen in very good condition. The canteen is a typical late war example with a rough wool cover and mixed pebbled and smooth leather on the straps. The green painted flask is nicely marked kvu which is the late war replacement for RFI which indicates production by Rudolf Fissler KG, Idar-Oberstein in 1944. The cup is matching to the canteen and nicely marked RFI 43 which indicates its most probable production very early in 1944. The canteen is in unissued condition and would be very hard to upgrade!

Textbook early war manufactured M31 canteen in very good condition. This canteen features light brown straps which is rather unusual for these early canteens. All parts are nicely marked L&SL 41 which indicates production by Linnepe & Schiffer Metallwarenfabrik, Lüdenscheid. Sadly the leather strap which is attached to the screw cap is broken. Very nice and textbook M31 canteen which would be hard to upgrade!

Textbook last ditch manufactured M42 canteen in good, used condition. The red painted steel flask itself is nicely marked sku 45 (Late war 3-letter code for MN) which indicates production by Menesa Metallindustrie GmbH. Neunkirchen-Saar in 1945! The canteen features a typical late war gabardine cover and the way the carbine hook is attached inside out is a typical late war feature as well. Typical last ditch example in configuration with a black phenolic resin (bakelite) cup!

Incredibly rare original orange bakelite canteen cup. This is a rare opportunity to buy original orange bakelite canteen cup. This example was certainly MPD code marked just like the other examples but the markings are completely faded because of the time in the ground. The MPD code F7/K indicates production by a still unknown maker and the usage of urea resin (which is a certain type of Bakelite) with an organic filler material. The bakelite surface is affected by the time in the ground and thereby lost some of its smooth surface. The cup only has some minor discolorations which could probably be cleaned some more. Beautiful original and very rare example!

This cup was found in Berlin recently together with 12 complete and 5 damaged cups. They were dug up underneath remnants of a concrete floor together with other canteen cups and butterdishes. In 15 years of collecting I’ve only found one example for my personal collection: this is only the second time I’ve been able to acquire one. I have kept 3 cups for my personal collection, other then these there are no other orange cups on the market today that I am aware of. Rarer then most Knights Crosses.

Excellent late war enameled M42 canteen cup in overall good condition. The enamel itself is in very good condition, the factory green paint can be spotted but is mostly wore off which is virtually always the case with enamel cups. Nice example marked AEMA 43. Perfect spare which is uncommon to find!

Black bakelite canteen cup in excellent condition. The cup is nicely marked 5M/S which is an unknown and rare manufacturer. The cup is named Gronau, finding named bakelite drinking cups is very rare!

Textbook late war M42 canteen in very good, most likely unissued condition. The canteen features very nice brown leather straps. The canteen and the cup are both nicely marked CFL 44 which indicates production by Carl Feldhaus Aluminium-und Metallwerke, Lüdenscheid in 1944. The cover shows some small discoloration and moth holes around the edges of the cup. Interestingly the cover is fitted the the wrong way around with the press studs on the right side instead of on the left but this is how I got it. Textbook M42 canteen!
