    Excellent late war produced M42 canteen in configuration with an enameled cup. This canteen comes in a very interesting and unusual but still matching configuration! The flask and cup are both a typical late war steel enameled type covered with rough green paint based on the steel M42 pattern canteens. Both the cup and flask are marked AEMA which indicates production by Annweiler Email-u.Metall-Werke in 1943. Excellent and rare to find canteen!

  • Camouflage gasmask from Veghel, the Netherlands

    Stunning three-tone camouflaged gasmask canister in untouched condition. The canister retains up to 85% of its wartime applied camouflage paint with lovely vibrant colours. The canister retains its long strap and green rubber mask in size 3. The canister is named and has a Feldpost number which could be one of the following numbers; L2317*, with the last digit hard to read I checked the feldpostnumbers starting with 2317 and came up with two Luftwaffe Feldpostnumebrs; 23179, Flak Sturm Abteilung 266 and 23173 for Fallschirm-Kraftfahr-Kompanie 11. With the latter serving only in Italy it is clear that the unit for this gasmask is 23179, Flak Sturm Abteilung 266, which also served in the Netherlands. The gasmask was found in Veghel which is right in Hells Highway which was the scene for heavy fighting during operation Market Garden.

    Rare, early pattern dark green webbing Heer tropical or Afrikakorps equipment belt with textbook tabbed buckle. The belt is a typical early example, bordered with leather end piece and webbing adjusting tongue with woven, not stitched holes. The belt is marked but impossible to read; the buckle is marked GB indicating Gustav Brehmer. Beautiful and always been together set in good, worn condition that would be hard to upgrade!

The gasmask comes with its original black rubber mask and tall filter. The canister retains up to 90% of its wartime camouflage and factory paint. Excellent and vibrant camouflage gasmask that would be very hard to upgrade!

    Very nice textbook late war manufactured M42 canteen in good condition. The red steel flask is marked but not quite readable but the maker seems to be FWBN 43. The canteen comes in its original configuration with a black 1943 dated bakelite cup which has sadly been cracked as can be seen on the photographs. Typical late war example!

    Nice M42 canteen with its textbook steel cup. The canteen is in overall good condition without any real damages. The cup is nicely marked CFL 44 which indicates production by Carl Feldhaus Aluminium-und Metallwerke, Lüdenscheid in 1944. The strap is made out of smooth light brown coloured leather which I have encountered multiple times by now on canteens made by CFL in 1944, typical detail!

    Nice tropical issue large 1L capacity canteen or “1L Labeflasche” in very good used condition. The canteen is nicely marked CFL 42 which indicates production by Carl Feldhaus Aluminium-und Metallwerke, Lüdenscheid in 1942. The canteen is in as found condition and comes in its original configuration with a black bakelite cup marked 46/S. This is in my opinion a real tropical issue canteen with the darker green coloured felt cover and an all webbing construction complete with D-ring attachment!

    Rare large 1L canteen or Labflasche which features a carbine hook which was specifically manufactured for and issued to Gebirgsjäger troops. This is a factory made carbine hook and factory applied to the harness and should not be confused with a modified example! The canteen itself is nicely marked CFL 39 which indicates production by Carl Feldhaus Aluminium-und Metallwerke, Lüdenscheid in 1939. The canteen comes complete with its original small aluminium cup which is a textbook configuration for these early 1L examples. Rare example!

    Very nice 1943 produced large 1L canteen or Labeflasche in good used condition. The canteen is nicely marked DMN 43 which indicates production by Deutsche Metallwerke AG, Neustadt in 1943. The canteens harness has been modified to a Gebirgsjäger style with a carbine hook instead of the normal clip on hook. Hard to find these modified examples!

    The cup is a late war undated/unmarked example, that was produced during and after the war.

    Nice late war M42 canteen in good used condition. The canteen is mismatched, the flask itself is nicely marked FWBN 43 and the cup is nicely marked C&CW 42. It is impossible to say if this mismatch happened during the war or in the post war period. Typical late war canteen!

Great canteen which is nicely named to E. Schießter on the back of the wool cover!
