Rare late Waffen-SS Erbsentarn pattern Panzer trousers
€9,000.00Extremely scarce original Waffen-SS Panzer crew member trousers in Erbsentarn camouflage fabric. The trousers are in very good, IMO lightly worn condition. The garment retains all but one factory sewn buttons. The garment was discovered in a cloth recycling factory in my hometown. There is a small period handsewn repair to the bottom of both legs. Both leg tie straps are there as is the internal belt and the inside pockets. The trousers are in a good, medium to large size fitting most modern sized mannequins. The garment is not visibly marked which probably washed out with the time. The garment is made from three types of camouflage fabric being Erbsentarn straight and reverse printed HBT and smooth Erbsentarn camouflage fabric. The garment retains a number of different thread colours all over. The button holes are typical for the garment. The wearer at some point removed the internal waist belt buckle by sewing a button to the waist. This could easily be restored yet the garment is untouched and was worn as is. The garment was worn and washed during its service hence it’s pockets retain a light blue hue inside. Otherwise the colours are vibrant and exactly how they should be. A rare opportunity to purchase real Waffen-SS camouflage Panzer trousers in Erbsentarn camouflage fabric!

Reference book; German Helmets 1916 – 1945 by Jan Meland
€120.00One of the most recent additions to my personal library is German Helmets by my friend Jan Meland. This comprehensive book describes the German helmets as used in world war one and world war two in all its details. This book is a great reference for starting or advanced collectors; next to the basic helmet knowledge it dives deep into different decals, the differences between the makers and application. The helmets pictured are most if not all sourced by the author in Norway. The book is in new condition and has only been opened to photograph it. I have a limited amount of examples which are signed on the first page by the author, as long as they last. I have 10 pieces available, The book is a A4 sized hardcover in the English language with 234 pages and more then 1450 clear pictures surely to soothe the need of any novice or advanced collector looking to expand his or her library! This is a must have for any helmet collector!

Rare Waffen-SS Panzer SS-Obersturmbannführer shoulderboards to Karl Leiner SS Pz. Abt. 103
€2,200.00SS-Abt.Kdr.KARL LEINER s.SS-Pz.Abt. ‘TIGER’ 103 SHOULDER BOARDS
Karl Leiner was Eicke’s son-in-law, his career took him through…
SS-Heimwehr Danzig 1939
Kdr. SS-T.-Pz.Abw.Abt. 1940
Kdr. SS-Pz.Jg.Abt. “SS-Reich” 1941
Kdr. SS-Pz.Abt. 3 1942
Kdr. SS-Pz.Rgt. 3 1942-43
Kdr. s.SS-Pz.Abt. 103 1944
SS Obersturmbannfuhrer Leiner becomes the new battalion commander. Improvised training is conducted by using three Panzer 1s MODEL C. 25 Jan 45, battalion receives 13 Tiger 2 tanks. 26 jan 45 . Entrainment of 39 Tiger 2s in Lage for transport to the eastern front. The battalion is to report directly to Heeeresgruppe Weischel [army group Vistula]. One week prior , SS-Sturmbannfuhrer Herzig relieves the unpopular SS Obersturmbannfuhrer Leiner, the son in law of deceased SS Brigadfuhrer Eicke.SS Hauptsturmfuhrer Birnschein and SS Obersturmfuhrer Ther who sent reports against Leiner to the SS Main office ,are transferred for law , order and discipline reasons to schwere Panzer Abteilung 501. Also from the book on Wittman. In Nov 43 all elements of the battalion not involved in the east front deployment were transported by rail to Sennelager South , Augustdorf. SS Obersturmbannfuhrer Leiner had assumed command of the battalion a short time before [sSS Pz Abt 101]. The 38 year old Leiner had commanded the anti tank battalion of the Totenkopf div in the western campaign of 1940, and in 43 had led the same divisions panzer regiment during the Battle of Kharkov. Leiner was married to one of Eickes daughters, and he was a long serving member of Eickes Division ,where he was sure of the commanders goodwill. Leiner did not enjoy much popularity among members of the 101st. His cold unfriendly manner and his lack of understanding prevented any bonds from being established with the enlisted men, NCO s and officers. That’s all I have not even a photo, he sounds like your typical guy with his head up his behind. no reference for that just personal observation.
SS-number being 27.351
And between May and August 1940 he commanded SS-Totenkopf-Panzer-Abwehr-Abteilung.
SS-Totenkopf-Division the following information:
SS-Totenkopf-Panzer-Abwehr-Abteilung
SS-Sturmbannführer (although I believe this must be SS-Hstuf) Karl Leiner(CO 11-39). So after his service with the SS-Heimwehr ‘Danzig’ he became CO from this unit.
And when I look to what I’ve on SS-Totenkopf-Panzer-Jäger-Abteilung I see this:
SS-Sturmbannführer Leiner (CO 8-40). So this could be correct as well since I first wrote he commanded SS-Totenkopf-Panzer-Abwehr-Abteilung till August 1940. I only don’t know if he was SS-Stubaf already at that time, only someone who has his promotions could tell us this…..
He served with the 15. Kp. from SS-Heimwehr ‘Danzig’ since the CO from that Kp. was an SS-Ostuf called Otto Leiner and Karl had a higher rank at that time when I’m correct. So he probably served with another unit from the SS-Heimwehr ‘Danzig’.
These shoulderboards were obtained direct from the family in Konstanz by a good friend by a picker/collector in Germany and then onto Martin Stiles at Hannahs Reich and have been in a single collection since. Unique offering which would be a prime piece in any SS-Panzer collection!

Impressive Crete photo and award grouping of Fallschirmjäger W. Drum
Impressive grouping of a Fallschirmjäger W. Drum. The grouping consists of a large portrait, photo album, Fallschirmschützenabzeichen, a Erdkampfabzeichen and Eisernez Kreuz II klasse. Drum most probably served with Fallschirm-Sanitäts-Abteilung 7 as the photographed graves in his album are all to this unit. It is very typical to photograph the graves of fallen comrades in the same unit in the album.
The Fallschirmschützenabzeichen is a early tombak example by C.E. Juncker which is also named in the back. No repairs or damages.
The Erdkampfabzeichen is a Juncker example and is published in the book ‘Das Erdkampfabzeichen der Luftwaffe’ by Sascha Weber on page 66 and 67. The catch is repaired and the front eagle is missing.
There is a large framed portrait of W. Drum which clearly shows the blue collar tabs in combination of the Fallschirm-Division cufftitle. The portrait is sized 33×39 cm.
The album begins in Prague on May 1-2, 1940, and documents the paratrooper unit’s trip to Crete via Hungary, Romania, and Bulgaria. In the further course photos of Greece, before the fighting began. Drum wrote in the album “Der 21. Mai 1941 – Unser Start” (May 21, 1941 – Our start). Beautiful photos of the operation in Crete. The last pages of the album show his stay in the Lazarett IXa in Vienna. Comes with hand-written notes by the paratrooper.
Total: around 120 photos and one postwar postcard of Crete.
The grouping was sourced through the family a few years ago. It is a very nice grouping which would be very hard to upgrade!
-
Fallschirmjäger document grouping to Gefreiter Facklam, Sturm-Regiment
Impressive document grouping to Fallschirmjäger Andreas Facklam who served in 16. Kompanie, Sturm-Regiment 1. This unit took part in all the major campaigns in 1940 and 1941 including Norway, the Netherlands and Crete. The document grouping consists of a large EKII, EKI and Ostmedaille document. He was awarded the EKII and EKI short after eachother whilst the unit fought in Crete. The EKII document was signed by Generalmajor u. Rgt. Kommandeur Eugen Meindl. The EKI document was signed by General der Flieger Kurt Student. Interesting detail is that the EKII and EKII were awarded a mere 10 days between each other proving his worth in his unit. The group is a very interesting and in my opinion very hard to find set which would be very hard to upgrade!

ET68 M38 tropical camouflage paratrooper helmet
Rare original Fallschirmjäger helmet in full wartime tan overpaint. This is a fine example of a early 1940/1941 produced helmet with a single decal on textured field grey paint which was later oversprayed in tan camouflage paint. The helmet retains up to 80% of its wartime tan overpaint and some of its decal peaks right through the paint. The helmet is marked ET68 indicating production by Eisenhuttenwerke Thale. The helmet was at some point, fitted with a reproduction leather liner which was affixed to the original liner padding. The liner ring is a typical aluminium example, riveted at the front and retains its original padding which is in my opinion original to the shell. The helmet retains its original chinstraps and bolts which are also original to the shell. The helmet is a very nice example which would be perfect for a mannequin display and would be very hard to upgrade!

Rare Published Heer EM/NCO visor Fallschirmjäger Infanterie Bataillon

B. indicating he served in the Pionier Zug of the Fallschirm-Infanterie-Battalon. This is truly one of the earliest Fallschirmjäger attributable items I have had the chance to offer and surely a rare and unique piece.
