The bag is in good used condition but its inner partitions have been opened, but still remain inside. These bags have a lot of resemblance with the shell Dressing bag, but the officers surgeon bag is a very rare acessory; this is a named example which has seen action for sure. Very rare to encounter!

The canteen itself is nicely marked WWL 42 which indicates production by Wilhelm Wiesenauer, Aluminiumwarenfabrik Ludwigsburg in 1942. WWL is an extremely rare to find maker and for me the second example I encountered! The canteen is in overall good condition without damages and comes in its original configuration with a black phenolic resin cup!

The flask itself is nicely marked MN 43 which (most probably) indicates production by Metallindustrie GmbH. Neunkirchen-Saar (MENESA) in 1943. The canteen comes in a typical late war configuration with a matching cup. Nice late war example!

Well shot, lighted and focussed images showing loads of details. The rear of the images show some press markings and a written note in the back. Several images show the inside of the Pioneer-Kaserne in Klosterneuburg which was the base of this unit. Also shown is the Nordbahnbrücke which was blown up during the retreat from the Soviets in 1945.

Rare M31 breadbag manufactured with British webbing in Litzmannstadt
€225.00Very nice “tropical” M31 breadbag in good condition. This breadbag is most likely made in the Ghetto of Lodz, Poland which the Germans renamed into “Litzmannstadt”. They are made using parts of captured British equipment items. These British equipment items where left in 1940 when the (BEF) British Expeditionary Force evacuated to the United Kingdom. The Germans sent this British equipment to Litzmannstadt for recycling and a lot of work was put in disassembling every British equipment piece and recycling the individual parts into German army equipment. Y-straps, A-frames and rucksacks are a few of the items made in Litzmannstadt. Very nice original M31 breadbag!

€225.00US airborne cap ID’ed T5337. The cap retains its original sewn cap patch and the other side shows the Rendezvous with Destiny 101st crest badge. The badge is marked G23 Ira Green and is probably a post world war two veteran applied example. The laundry number would be a nice base for further research.

€225.00Excellent textbook M31 canteen in unissued, mint condition. The canteen and all its parts are nicely marked MN 40 which indicates production by Menesa Metallindustrie GmbH. Neunkirchen-Saar in 1940. Nice detail is that this example features pigskin straps even though it is an early example and it features an unmarked cup which is a rare feature for M31 canteens. Sadly the straps is broken at the bottom as can be seen. Excellent textbook M31 example which is a must have for every canteen collector!

Tan MG34 u. MG42 ammunition case
€225.00A very nice tan camouflaged ammunition box for the MG34 and MG42. As the Germans occupied Czechoslovakia they took over most of their military stocks including weapons and equipment. This box for the Czech ZB 37 machine gun or MG 37 (t) originally had a slope welded inside to stack the ZB ammunition properly. This slope was removed by the Germans and the leftover holes filled in prior to a tan repaint.
A rare box to encounter in very good condition with most of the wartime tan camouflage!

The factory paint had a letter A painted on the front indicating the helmet belonged to a Ambulance. Later in the war it was overpainted in a dark grey green colour covering the insignia but it can be seen right trough the exterior paint. Hard to find early example in good condition!

Late war wooden Verbandkasten marked Lippische Holzindustrie
€225.00Later in the war the German vehicle first aid kit or “Verbandkasten” was made out of wood in stead of steel. Most of these don’t have a label on the inside and are executed in field gray paint. This one is in very good condition with over 95% of the period paint remaining. This example is nicely marked marked Lippische Holzindustrie K.&W. Kottmeyer Heidenoldendorf i. L. The spray painted letters on the front are very aesthetically pleasing and would nicely compliment a medical display!
