Rare pre war A-frame with aluminium hardware dated 1939
NewRare pre war A-frame with aluminium hardware dated 1939. This is a rare, pre war variant A-frame which was only produced and issued to a small number of units together with the Y-strap for field trials. The A-frame and Y-strap only became general issue two years later in 1941. Finding Y-straps and A-frames from this era is very rare and finding period photographs of these items in use prior to 1941 is a rarity. The A-frame is in my opinion unissued with storage wear only. Some of the aluminium hardware has green paint on it which can easily be scratched off with a finger nail. There is no green paint stains on the A-frame itself. The A-frame is made with full Aluminium hardware including the 1939 strap for the Messkit which has always been on this A-frame. The A-frame is a typical early example manufactured of tightly woven webbing, finished with brown leather straps. Very hard to find Y-straps or A-frames from this specific timeframe where it was issued for field trials only!

The liner pins are original to the shell but the washers are interesting, hand made examples which have always been in the helmet, exactly as it was obtained over 20 years ago. The helmet is a nice and untouched example in very good condition from a interesting part of the Netherlands which played a mayor role trough operation Market Garden!

ET66 M40 Heer single decal helmet
New€1,250.00Beautiful, reissue and ex whitewash Heer M40 single decal helmet. The helmet started its life as a early batch M40 in apple green paint which has been reissued and repainted in a field grey colour during the war. The liner ring is original to the shell; bearing the same field grey repaint. The liner itself has been replaced at some point which might well be a part of the Reissue process.
