  • Rare(!) orange bakelite canteen cup F7/K

Incredibly rare original orange bakelite canteen cup. This is a rare opportunity to buy original orange bakelite canteen cup. This example was certainly MPD code marked just like the other examples but the markings are completely faded because of the time in the ground. The MPD code F7/K which was once present indicates production by a still unknown maker and the usage of urea resin (which is a certain type of Bakelite) with an organic filler material. The bakelite surface is affected by the time in the ground and thereby lost its smooth surface and its marking. The cup only has some minor discolorations which could probably be cleaned some more. Beautiful original and very rare example!

This cup was found in Berlin recently together with 12 complete and 5 damaged cups. They were dug up underneath remnants of a concrete floor together with other canteen cups and butterdishes. In 15 years of collecting I’ve only found one example for my personal collection: this is only the second time I’ve been able to acquire one. I have kept 3 cups for my personal collection, other then these there are no other orange cups on the market that I am aware of. Rarer then most Knights Crosses: this is probably the rarest item I have had for sale in the 5 years that fjm44.com has been online!

Late war unissued Zeltbahn in Waffen-SS Oak camouflage. The Zeltbahn is nicely made up out of different colours of camouflaged material, typical for a late war manufacture. What makes this zeltbahn rare is that its of a late war “4 panel” construction. That means that on both far ends of the left and right side a extra triangle is sewn on. Next to that the left panel on the autumn side is unique in that the colours seem to be reversed; this is a first for me. The zeltbahn is in strong used condition!

  • Rare(!) orange bakelite canteen cup F7/K

Incredibly rare original orange bakelite canteen cup. This is a rare opportunity to buy an original orange bakelite canteen cup. This example is beautifully marked with a MPD code which was typical for period produced bakelite items. The MPD code F7/K indicates production by a still unknown maker and the usage of urea resin (which is a certain type of Bakelite) with an organic filler material. The bakelite is still in a very good and rather smooth condition and the material isn’t heavily affected by all the years in the ground except for some black discoloration which in my opinion could be further cleaned. The only damages are some tiny cracks at the top of the cup.
Incredibly rare original orange bakelite canteen cup. This is a rare opportunity to buy an original orange bakelite canteen cup. This example is beautifully marked with a MPD code which was typical for period produced bakelite items. The MPD code F7/K which is still very clear indicates production by a still unknown maker and the usage of urea resin (which is a certain type of Bakelite) with an organic filler material. The bakelite is still in good condition with one side still retaining the smooth surface. Further the cup isn’t really affected by all the years in the ground except for some discoloration which could probably be even cleaned better. The only damage is at the rim were a small piece of the material has been dissolved by the time in the ground. Beautiful original and very rare example!

  • Rare Waffen-SS M40 pattern overcoat with pointed green collar

A original M40 Waffen-SS Mantel or overcoat in good used condition. The eagle has been removed from the sleeve, other then that its a nice untouched condition Waffen-SS M40 Mantel. There are several small moth holes. The overcoat was lightly tailored; it had its loops for shoulderstraps removed and a dagger slit added. A dark green ‘dragon tooth’ collar was added. Superb and very hard to find matching set of two k98 bayonets marked COF 44 indicating production by Waffenfabrik Carl Eickhorn, Solingen. The bayonets are matching to their scabbards with the serial 1407 V u  and 1425 V and have nice clean red bakelite grips. These bayonets where made on the same day probably by the same person! The bayonets are both in unissued condition with full original blueing that would be very hard to upgrade. • Textbook Waffen-SS Infantry EM shoulderstraps

Rare and textbook pair original Waffen-SS EM Infanterie shoulderstraps piped with white rayon. The shoulderstraps are well executed and show the textbook construction one would expect from mid to late war shoulderstraps. The straps are in very good, unissued condition and would easily match to a mint tunic. These white piped straps were issued to Waffen-SS Infanterie which was branded to Panzergrenadiere around 1942. These straps are the lowest EM rank for sure seeing lots of action on the front line. A very nice matching pair that is highly sought after and only scarcely encountered nowadays!

The cap is nicely lined in rayon showing remnants of the markings in the crown. The cap is a nice medium size most probably 56. The cap shows loads of character; to me this cap really has it all.
