  • Tropical M31 canteen marked ESB 42

    Excellent “tropical” M31 canteen with webbing straps. The aluminium flask itself, the strap and the cover are all nicely marked ESB 41 which indicates production by Eduard Sommerfeld, Berlin. In configuration with an excellent black urea resin (type of bakelite) cup marked gfc 1943. Stunning M31 canteen in very good condition with webbing straps!

     

  • Pre war Waffen-SS/Political marked RZM M6/1/38

    Excellent pre war M1910 pattern mess kit in good used condition. The tall pre war mess kit is nicely marked RZM M6/1/38 which indicates production in 1938. Unlike most of the tall pre war mess kits with black paint, this one is finished with green paint (Feldgrau) which indicates this example could have been used to troops of the Waffen-SS. Excellent example in great used condition!

    Beautiful pre war pattern light brown coloured mapcase in used condition. The mapcase is nicely marked E.37 which indicates production in 1937. This example features an ink stamp as well which indicates the manufacturer: A. Waldhausen, IX Köln 1937. Interesting detail is the typical early/pre war orange coloured stitching. Nice combat used example of an M35 pattern mapcase filled with some period pencils!

    Excellent large capacity 1L canteen or Labeflasche in very good condition. The canteen comes in configuration with a bakelite cup which is typical for these 1L examples. The canteen is nicely marked CFL 41 which indicates production by Carl Feldhaus Aluminium-und Metallwerke, Lüdenscheid in 1941. Nice example with beautiful pebbled leather straps!

    Rare period Pertrix torch in excellent condition. This example is nicely finished in brown which is associated with political troops such as HJ or SA. The torch still has its original batteries inside! Very nice example complete with its original leather hanger!

    Textbook 1939 dated FF33 (Feldfernsprecher 33) field telephone in great used condition. The bakelite housing of the field telephone is completely undamaged and is in overall good condition. Textbook example in good condition!

    Note: The field phone appears to be in good shape and is complete with all the necessary parts to use it including the battery box which is mostly broken or missing. I have not opened or tested the field phone!

  • 10 Liter SMM41 water container

    A nice and usable 10 liter Trinkwasser water carrier.
    These carriers where first introduced around 1941 probably due to the hot climate in Italy and Africa. These are becoming hard to find and are a good and secure way to take drinking water to the front. This one still has some original paint remaining but would be best restored. A new gasket or seal for the lid can be acquired through Kriegsendemilitaria.

    The canister is a bit dirty but clean. It has not been used to store oil, gasoline or other poisonous substances. A good rinse with water will make this usable again!

    A very nice late war zeltbahn with Italian bakelite buttons and great colours. The zeltbahn is nicely RB numbered and featured with Italian bakelite buttons. The zeltbahn is in light used condition but has great colours and interesting features. Hard to find late war Zeltbahn in very good condition!

    A very nice Luftwaffe belt buckle made by Assmann & Söhne, Lüdenscheid. This buckle still retains up to 95% of its original paint. The buckle has a nice leather tab on which the manufacturer and date is stamped although this is hard to read. A very nice Luftwaffe buckle in very good condition!

    A very rare, pre war Reichswehr period breadbag marked F.W. Rosentum  and dated 1934. This is the earliest breadbag I’ve encountered so far, let alone in mint condition. Very hard to upgrade!

All the parts are matching for this particular maker and model and it includes the last model “last ditch” steel welded oiler. A rare type to find, especially in nice and complete condition like this one.

    A scarcely encountered Gebirgsjäger specific 1 liter capacity canteen or Labeflasche. These canteens where fitted with a hook on the back so that it could be worn on the carrying sling but also on the breadbag. These 1 liter Labeflaschen with both the harness and the hook are very hard to find!

    A very nice original 1940 dated gasplane with its original pouch in light used condition. This is the earlier Gasplane I’ve seen so far, the early variants are hard to find. These capes where to be worn in combination with the gasmask in a event of a gas attack. Belongs to every gasmask!

    A very nice minty example of a Waffen-SS M44 shoulderstrap for a Scharführer der Infanterie. The shoulderstrap is a nice late war, simplified manufacture with white rayon piping and late subdued Unteroffizierstresse. The shoulderstrap is single in mint condition!

  • Canteen filling funnel

    A unusual, late war canteen filling funnel. These funnels where used in field kitchens and together with the 5, 10, and 18 liter aluminium “Trinkwasser” drinking water containers to fill canteens. These funnels had the capacity of exactly one standard 0.8 liter canteen. They are wide enough at the top for a 5, 10 or 18 liter drinking water  container to easily poor. It is used by holding a finger underneath the small hole underneath the funnel and then filled to the top. The funnel is then placed above a canteen and the finger is removed. The canteen will be filled quick and without spillage! The funnel is made out of enameled steel like many of the late war canteens. A nice unusual item!

    Hard to find Zeiler 4848 bakelite flashlight in very good working condition. The flashlight is complete with the button strap manufactured out of Presstoff and would be very hard to upgrade. There are one or two chips in the bakelite but otherwise it would easily be graded mint! I added a wartime picture of one of these in use. One of my favorite collectibles are bakelite torches, and this one is a perfect example!
