Rare Heer Officer M36 field blouse for a Leutnant der Veterinär
€1,450.00Rare Heer Officer M36 field blouse for a Leutnant der Veterinär. This is a enlisted mens field example, not a tailor made dress blouse. The blouse is in good, worn condition with all wartime sewn insignia. Interestingly the collar tabs are sewn directly over the issue EM/NCO litzen. The breast eagle is a typical Bullion example, machine sewed to the garment. There are also wartime added shoulder reinforcements inside the garment. The shoulderstraps are typically carmine coloured examples with a additional grey underlay. The field blouse is in excellent only lightly worn condition and is a rare variant with this set of wartime sewn insignia. Some light mothing here and there; but most of the nap retains in the wool. The garment originally came out of a household clearing in Vienna. Hard to find, example which displays nicely!

Waffen-SS Soldbuch SS-Unterscharführer Gerhard Schmitz, Panzergrenadier Regiment 2 LSSAH
€1,600.00Soldbuch to SS-Unterscharführer Gerhard Schmitz from Hildesheim. His dogtag is marked 6.SS-Pi.St. indicating 6. SS Pionier Sturmbann. This indicates he was already in service in 1940 or earlier. It seems he lost his Soldbuch or it wasn’t readable any more at some point because most notes are later in the war. He served with SS-Panzergrenadier Regiment which fell under the 1. SS Panzerdivision Leibstandarte Adolf Hitler. He had a set of cartridge pouches and a bayonet frog indicating he was most probably armed with a K98.
He was wounded numerous times by shrapnel in 1940, 1941, 1942 and 1945. On 12 Mai 1945 he was entered at Kriegslazarett 930 which was located in Mattighofen in Austria.
He was awarded the Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz, Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Silber and the KVK II Klasse with swords. Considering his line of service he must have had whitnessed most of the important battles of the Division including the Ardennes offensive and the end of the war in Austria. A nice soldbuch which could be a nice base for further research!

Underneath a short unit history of Infanterie Regiment 53 during the 1940 campaign.
9 May 1940; Infanterie Regiment 53 was mobilized early may 1940. On may 1940 it received the order to march westwards in the night. Close to the border it took a pause near Effeld and Rothenbach.
10 May 1940; May 10, 03:00 it received the order to prepare and around 05.35 marched across the border near Vlodrop and stormed the bridge acros the Roer where it exchanged hands undamaged. They went trough St. Odilienberg and Linne. At 8.30 they reached Maasbracht where the Panzerjäger Kompanie attacked the bunkers at the Maas bridge. Around 12:30 the first troops crossed the Maas river where it took many casualties due to Dutch machinegun fire. The advancing troops managed to roll up the enemy troops, cross the canal at Neederwert and capture the bridge in Panheel intact. At around 13:00 the resistance was broken and Wessem was taken. The Dutch-Belgian border at Kessenich was crossed via Thorn by the evening.
11 May 1940; The 1. Bataillon moved in the night trough the hardly passable swamp and forest area south of Kinrooi towards Tengerloo. Using a set of half sunk barges the 1. Btl. crossed the Maas-Scheldt canal. Other bataillons were brought up they used the regimental pioneer platoons rafts to cross it moving most if not all the units vehicles. Around midday the order was given to chase the enemy. They paused in Meeuwen and ended the day after crossing at Helchteren. By nightfall they had covered around 45 kilometers into Belgium resting in Lilo, Helchteren and Zolder.
12 May 1940; the regiment crossed the Albertkanaal which was cleared of Belgian resistance during the night. It received its first air raid in the west. They faced resistance when they reached Lummen which was taken by nightfall at heavy casualties.
13 May 1940; They pushed trough to Tienwinkel and moved into a defensive position at their bridgehead acros the Albertkanaal because the units to its left and right have not yet crossed the canal. Late in the evening it moved westwards again.
14 May 1940; The regiment was pulled from the front for a short pause where they were fed and received new ammunition. Afterwards marched trough Haelen to the staging area at Meensel-Kiesehem and Molembeek-Wersbeek. At 03:30 it moved to Lovenjoul where it arrived int he evening.
15 May 1940; The regiment crossed the Dyle river and took up positions to move towards Leuven. This attach was however called up and dug into defensive positions. They received a heavy artillery barrage from the British troops near Leuven.
17 May 1940; The regiment attacked across the Dyle. After crossing it repaired the blown bridges and the spearhead of the regiment advanced towards Brussels trough Eversberg, Corstenberg, Nosseghem and Zaventem. The regiment encountered hard resistance around Dieghem on the Canal du Nord.
18 May 1940; The regiment fought its way into Brussels trough Haren and Evere. In the evening the unit took positions and went to rest at Bodeghem and Schepdael.
19 May 1940; The regiment advanced to the Dendre canal. Around Ninove it encountered a British artillery barrage. The canal was heavily defended and around mid day the 5. Kompanie was the first to cross the canal. Around 17:00 the rest of the regiment had crossed.
20 May 1940; Marching trough the night the regiment reached Renaix(Ronse) and attacked towars the Schelde. Under heavy enemy fire it however stays pinned at their side of the river.
23 May 1940; The regiment attacked the crossing and secured the bridgehead
24 May 1940; The regiment crossed the river en masse moving to Vichte where it took rest.
25 May 1940; The regiment received the order to move into a wide defensive position. Enemy positions on the hills north of Heule and Galleghem were attacked and moved into.
26 May 1940; The regiment marched West
27 May 1940; The regiment marched in line with the spearhead of the unit towards Paschendaele were it attacked together with Infanterie Regiment 11.
29 may 1940; The regiment attacked and took Boesinghe.
30 May 1940; The regiment moved towards Dunkirk. After a quick march the regiment reached Elzendamme were a destroyed bridge was repaired by the Pionierzug. Trough Hoogstade and Stavele it moved towards Wegscheede. At Hondschoote it encountered a heavy artillery barrage and resistance. The spearhead of the unit managed to cross the Basse-Colm canal and disperse the enemy from the eastern bridgehead.
31 May 1940; The regiment was supposed to cross the canal which was however delayed trough the fields being flooded by the British. Towards the night the artillery was brought up and a Bridgehead across the canal was made.
1 June 1940; The regiment crossed the Digue canal at St. Michel. Where it stayed until June 3rd.
3 June 1940; The 9. Kompanie retreated due to their positions being flooded.
4 June 1940; The regiment moved into Dunkirk which ended the first battle of France.
After being deployed again for the Battle of France, the regiment fought at Henin-Literd, Moy, Nesle, Beauvais, Suznay, Surville, Maison Baugis, Chartres, Briarres and Augerville until the armistice in Larchant. It suffered 471 casualties of which 140 men killed.
15 October 1940; The regiment was renamed into Grenadier Regiment 53 and was moved to the 14. Infanterie Division.
July 1944; the unit was renamed to Verstärktes Grenadier-Regiment 1065 under the 14. Infanterie Division where it stayed on the eastern front until the end of the war.

USAAF seat parachute named Whitcomb H Slate F/0 T 184533
€1,850.00Rare USAAF seat parachute named Whitcomb H Slate F/0 T 184533. The parachute and harness is in good used condition. The parachute still retains its harness, seat, canopy and risers. The springs for the chute bag are not present but easily replaced. The bag came with the harness and is named Flight Officer Whitcomb H Slate F/0 T 184533 ATC 955 D. I have included some hits I found which will be a good base for further research. It seems that he was a flight instructor at Douglas until early 44 when he became a Flight Officer flying in the ETO flying C-47 Dakota’s and later C-46 Commando’s. It is well possible he flew during D-Day, Market Garden and Varsity operations. This is a beautiful set that deserves further research!

Impressive(!) grouping GBJR 137 Obergefreiter Peter Bernardin
€1,950.00Impressive Soldbuch and award grouping of Obergefreiter Peter Bernardin, 16. Panzerjäger Kompanie, Gebirgsjäger Regiment 137 where he enlisted 26.8.1939. He was issued the G.33/40 Gebirgsjäger Carbine and a pair of skis. His unit served in Poland in 1938 and after that it was sent into Norway in 1940. The unit was stationed in Lappland, Finland between 1941 and 1944. In the end of the war it was moved to the area Saarpfalz near the French border where it saw heavy action until the end of the war.
He was awarded the Medaille zum Errinnerung von 13. März 1938 on 4.5.1940, the Kriegsverdienstkreuz II klasse on 21.11.1941, the Winterschlacht im Osten on 14.12.42, the Verwundetenabzeichen im Schwarz on 17.8.43 and the Eisernez Kreuz II Klasse on 19.10.1944.
These awards are all in good condition and all have the triangular Austrian ribbon style which seems to be typical for Gebirgsjäger. The Iron Cross II class is marked 55 indicating production by J.E. Hammer & Söhne which is a rare maker as is. The wound badge is a unmarked example. The Ostmedaille is marked 6 indicating production by Fritz Zimmermann. There is a rare large document commemorating the Norway campaign in 1940 for members of Gruppe Feurstein which was named after Generalleutnant Valentin Feurstein the divisional commander of the 2. Gebirgsdivision. This document was awarded to the men who marched from Fauske to Narvik to rescue the isolated Gebirgsjäger Regiment 139. This document is named to then Gefreiter Peter Bernardin. This is a rare document!
The award document for the Kriegsverdienstkreuz II Klasse is signed by Generalmajor Ernst Schlemmer which by then was the commander of the 2. Gebirgsdivision.
Next to these official awards there is the Finnish/German Nordfront cross made by Hopeatakomo o.y. and the Petsamo Rovaniemi badge by the same maker. Both bades are in very good condition retaining most if not all of its enamel and gold coloured finish. There is also the 1943-1944 Eismeerfront capbadge with all prongs intact in the back. There is a Gebirgsjäger Edelweiss capbadge marked F&B most probably indicating production by Förster & Barth. There is a Lappland shield with this group but those are always debatable as such but I will keep it with the group. There is a traditional Finnish Puukko knife which carries the decal of the 1940 Finnish olympic games which never happened until 1952. This as such is a interesting collectible! There is a single early pointed style shoulderstrap to Gebirgsjäger Regiment 137 and a early dark green backed Edelweiss, both in uniform removed condition. His Erkennungsmarke with its original string, matching to that noted in the Soldbuch and additionally a French prisoner of war itentity tag indicating he was captured on the Western front.
This extensive grouping is exceptional. All of its individual components of a great quality and included some rare variants. The completeness of this grouping clearly deserves a separate display case and a in depth research study as such. I am sure the combined value of all the pieces individually easily increases the value of the group a lot but I refuse to break it up as a historical artifact!

Rare rubber gasmask canister by Radium Gummiwerke, Köln-Dellbrück.
€2,000.00Unique opportunity to acquire the rarest of all gasmask canisters. This is probably a pre war trial run for the Kriegsmarine or Kradschützen or motorcycle troops. I have only seen one other of these gasmask canisters for sale; otherwise these are impossible to find. The canister is in good used condition with some small damages. The lid is loose which seems to be a factor on all of these. The gasmask canister retains its original long strap with leather reinforcement. These canisters are marked ‘Radium’ underneath which most probably indicates Radium Gummiwerke of Köln-Dellbrück.
Here is a topic containing wartime photographs of these canisters in use; https://www.wehrmacht-awards.com/forums/forum/wehrmacht-uniforms-and-equipment/wehrmacht-equipment-forum/925773-anyone-recognise-this-type-of-gasmask-cannister

Luftwaffe Fliegerbluse for a Gefreiter in Panzer Division Hermann Göring
New€2,000.00Luftwaffe Fliegerbluse for a Gefreiter in Panzer Division Hermann Göring. Textbook pre war large sized Fliegerbluse dated 1939. The garment was in my opinion expertly restored by a other Dutch collector who fooled the collector who bought it of him and later sold it to me. The garment and all of its insignia are all rare originals. The breast eagle is a typical droop tail example which was hand sewn, typical for the 1939 dated blouse which never received eagles until 1940. The General Göring cufftitle on the sleeve is a very hard to find example. The shoulderstraps are sewn in which look to be original to the garment and the most possible lead why it was restored as such. Beautiful display piece of a garment which if untouched is nearly never offered on the public market and perfect for a large sized mannequin!

Rare M45 field blouse
€2,100.00Rare and probably unique Heer or Waffen-SS M45 field blouse. Typical late war garment in very good condition. The jacket is made out of the typical late war, probably recycled Italian wool partially lined with green screen printed material the position of pockets. The garment never received collar tabs or a breast eagle. The garment is the last evolution of the field blouse, ommitting a further 3 metal and 8 paper buttons from the already simplified M44 field blouse. The jacket is probably the rarest IMO Waffen-SS wool garment that I have had the chance to offer.

Tall M38 gasmask canister in two tone camouflage named Uffz. Janhsen
€2,200.00M38 gasmask in three tone brush applied camouflage named Unteroffizier Janhsen in very good condition. The gasmask is in a typical three-tone camouflage finish typical for this very specific unit(!). Trough the least 8 years I have seen two of this exact camouflage pattern with this Feldpost number. The lid of the spare lens compartment is marked L50830 indicating 9. Batterie Batterie Fallschirm-Flak-Regiment 12. This unit was stationed under the II. Fallschirm-Korps and was stationed in St. Lô during D-Day. This unit followed the Korps on the western front until in 1945 it moved to the eastern front. When The canister and its mask are both named Uffz Janhsen. A very nice original camouflage gasmask case with a very good base for further research into the unit!

Q64 M35 Luftwaffe double decal helmet from Valkenswaard
€2,350.00Q64 M35 Luftwaffe double decal helmet that was found in Valkenswaard which is south of Eindhoven. The helmet was bought from a non collector in the early 2000’s and has been in a single collection since. The helmet is untouched and retains its original decals and paint up to 80%. The helmet retains its wartime placed helmet liner which is a warime (!) replacement. The liner pins are original to the shell but the washers are interesting, hand made examples which have always been in the helmet, exactly as it was obtained over 20 years ago. The helmet is a nice and untouched example in very good condition from a interesting part of the Netherlands which played a mayor role trough operation Market Garden!

Rare SS-VT earth brown Drillich EM / NCO breeches
New€2,450.00Rare SS-VT earth brown Drillich EM / NCO breeches in excellent but gently worn condition. This is a very hard to find pre war set of trousers that was issued with a blouse in the same material. It once had two RZM tags; one big white one and one small black. The sewing to these tags are clearly visible. The same trousers can be seen in Beavers Uniforms of the Waffen-SS. This is a super hard to find pair of trousers, I have only seen a handful in books, collections or online. Never one for sale!
