    This piece was a part of the late Nick Komiya collection who was a very knowledgeable Japanese collector who wrote many interesting articles on Warrelics and Wehrmacht Awards forum. The item sold here is a part of his virtual legacy of articles. A nice and rare example from a well known and curated collection!

    Textbook Heer issue round neck sweater with button closure. These sweaters can be observed on many period images and can be a nice touch to any mannequin. Even when it is damaged like this one it is still perfect for a mannequin with the collar viewable trough the opened neck collar of a tunic, smock, fliegerbluse or wrapper. Hard to find!

    These sweaters have just been found in a cloth processing plant which was closed down in the 1960’s and was found with many German uniforms. Fresh on the market, never been in a collection!

Easy to keep with you and perfect to clarify and mark maps! The case is still in good condition and the labels are still readable. The label clearly reads: “Landkarten-Stifte Nr. 541“. These sets were privately purchased from the manufacturer Eberhard Faber which designed this set together with some other products (such as the Taktik-etui) in a line with products designed for usage within the Wehrmacht (Spezial-Erzeugnisse für die Wehrmacht). This is one of the rarer products to find from the Eberhard Faber product line and this example comes straight out of my personal collection! Belongs in any map-case collection!

    Rare wartime barrel changing mitt for the MG34 and MG42. When firing the MG34 and MG42 continuously the German soldiers where presented with a harsh and difficult task: changing the barrel. The MG34 and MG42 where both made with a quick-change barrel and to help in the changing of the barrel these gloves where invented and issued. These gloves where issued with the accessories of the MG34 and MG42. It is simply used by placing the hand under the strap and using the pad to cover your hand when you grab the hot, sometimes even glowing barrel. The barrel is then placed in the Laufschützer to cool down and a cool new barrel is inserted. According to regulations, the barrel had to be changed after 150 rounds fired continuously. Hard to find item!

    Interesting tabbed aluminium Luftwaffe belt buckle by Wiedmann 1938 with unit markings and field repaint. This belt buckle is a nice pre war Luftwaffe belt buckle manufactured in aluminium by E. Ferd. Wiedmann, Frankfurt am Main. The buckle is a nice, pre war variant which has three layers of paint. The first is the silver factory coating. This was overpainted in tan camouflage paint, worn down and later in Luftwaffe blue paint. The buckle is unit marked Fliegerhorst Kommandantur Schweinfurt. Nice tabbed and pre war example with interesting details!

    A very nice tan camouflaged ammunition box for the MG34 and MG42. As the Germans occupied Czechoslovakia they took over most of their military stocks including weapons and equipment. This box for the Czech ZB 37 machine gun or MG 37 (t) originally had a slope welded inside to stack the ZB ammunition properly. This slope was removed by the Germans and the leftover holes filled in prior to a tan repaint.

    A rare box to encounter in very good condition with most of the wartime tan camouflage!

    Excellent 3rd pattern Luftwaffe navigation disc or Dreieckrechner DR3 Tp. This example is nicely marked FL. 23 825, gwr, Jan. 1944. The 3 letter code gwr indicates production by an unknown manufacturer in January 1944. This is the rare 3rd pattern which is made out of yellow tinted illuminating synthetic resin material for clear view at night flying and/or low visibility, same idea as with the Luftwaffe issued flight maps. These navigation computers were used by Luftwaffe pilots in almost every German aircraft such as the Me109, Fw190, Me262, He-111, Do-217, Ju-88 and almost all others! Excellent and very rare Dreieckrechner DR3 Tp in very good condition which would be hard to upgrade!
