Rare Waffen-SS field blouse for a SS-Untersturmführer der Gebirgsjäger in excellent condition. This is a beautiful and textbook tailor made blouse for a SS-Untersturmführer der Gebirgsjäger. The blouse is a typical early example with two slash pockets and two large breast pockets. The left breast pocket is adorned with 2 sets of period sewn award loops. The collar is a typical pointed example that was favoured with Waffen-SS officers. The collar retains its machine sewn matching pair of hand embroidered bullion collar tabs for a SS-Untersturmführer. The front closure has a period sewn iron cross second class ribbon. The shoulderboards are a nice matching pair with typical green felt piping for a Gebirgsjäger. The sleeve Edelweiss is actually a enlisted mens variant which can sometimes be seen with officers in lack of a bullion example. Like visors, the Waffen-SS mostly carried white as a Waffenfarbe post 1940. This is a rare example of a beautifully tailor made Waffen-SS officers blouse that would be very hard to upgrade other then adding two awards to the award loops!
