Nice original single shoulderstrap for a Unteroffizier with a specific unit designation I’ve never seen. Most probably for use by Ost Truppen. The waffenfarbe was period coloured. A very nice and in my opinion rare(!) shoulderstrap.

A very nice original bakelite Carbide container that belongs with the bakelite carbide lantern or Einheitslaterne. These containers are often in very bad condition with cracks or other damages. This one is the best one I’ve ever found.

Perfect bakelite rain cover or Okularschütz in a beautiful slightly used condition. The cover is nicely marked WaA 202 which indicates production by Carl Zeiss, Jena. Beautiful example with unusual coloured bakelite, probably due to the filler material. Hard to find as a spare in this condition!

Near mint Dienstglas leather buttoning tab or Knöpflasche in most likely unissued condition. The button flap is nicely marked on the back with an ink stamp blc 41 which indicates production by Carl Zeiss, Jena in 1941. Great example which is really hard to find as a spare!

Clear mapcase insert in good used condition. These where issued with map cases and used to keep maps dry in the rain and folded on the right place. These where also used to draw on to the smooth transparent surface to keep the maps unmarked. This example is nicely marked A. Fischer, Berlin C2 1934. Earliest example I have ever been able to offer!

Iconic Life Magazine, August 14, 1944 – Airborne infantry officer in Normandy
A Iconic edition of LIFE magazine. The tough, haggard man on the cover is one of the thousands who are winning the battle for France. He is Lt. Kelso C. Horne of the U.S. airborne infantry. Men like Lt. Horne saw their hardest fighting on June 6, when many of them were landed behind German lines in Normandy with parachute troops. In the great breakthrough in France, airborne troops are probably being used as infantry shock troops. The picture on the front is one of the most iconic images of the war. The magazine is in good and complete condition. A true ICON for any Airborne collection!
