    “tropical” M31 1L canteen or Labeflasche with webbing straps in slightly used condition. The flask itself is nicely marked ESB 42 which indicates production by Eduard Sommerfeld, Berlin in 1942. Unusual but for sure original is the unmarked aluminium small 10cl canteen cup which was mainly seen on pre war medical canteens but can be encountered on all types of canteens throughout the war. These cups have been found on ESB canteens multiple times. Interesting canteen with a nice cup!

    Stunning combat used M31 pattern canteen. The canteen is marked M. & C. 40 which indicates and manufacturer which is still unknown till this day! Almost all M. & C. produced canteens are made in 1939 and are in completely unissued condition, sometimes even together with the original factory box. Finding a 1940 dated example made by M. & C. in combat used condition is rare!

The flask and the felt cover are both nicely marked ESB 41 which indicates production by Eduard Sommerfeld, Berlin in 1941. In textbook configuration with an excellent black bakelite cup marked gfc 1941. Excellent matching canteen in good slightly used condition!

    Textbook original infantry assault badge by Steinhauer & Luck. Textbook crimped in hinge and catch with tool mark on top of the pin. Solid zinc made badge unmarked but the design and hardware clearly attributable to Steinhauer & Luck.

    Excellent early production breadbag in good slightly used condition. Nice example with brown coloured leather and leather reinforcements on the belt loops. The breadbag is nicely named! Sometimes referred to as a M40 breadbag because the leather reinforcements on the green coloured fabric which was made only in a short period of time in 1940.

It is unclear why this was inserted in some of the late messkits. It is only seen on some of the 44 or 45 dated messkits. A rare m42 messkit in near perfect condition!

  • Stunning(!) sketchbook or Skitzenbuch by Hans Liska

    This sketchbook, first brought out in 1942, features many drawings and watercolours of the German artist Hans Liska. Liska was a artist born in 1907 and drafted into a Propagandakompanie in 1939. He illustrated his war and bundled his sketchbook in his Skitzenbuch. The book is a great pictorial reference to the war with many stunning and fascinating illustrations. This book is a great item for the collector with an eye for aesthetics or art. I’ll just let the pictures do the talking of this stunning bundle of wartime images!

    A very nice late war M44 Sturmgepäck. This rucksack is in mint condition and would be a very nice addition to any equipment collection. The black leather is in good supple condition. The blue canvas variant of this rucksack is a rare variant to find!

    A nice original Y-strap in good used condition marked RBNr. 0/0156/0013. The Y-strap is a late war type with a late war backstrap with the “wire” hook. It has a post war Czech depot stamp underneath one of the auxiliary straps. The strap is a nice supple and complete example, typical as issued to the Wehrmacht and Waffen-SS.

    A nice original bucke marked R. Sieper & Sohne 1938. The buckle still retains up to 90% of its original wartime applied paint. These buckle retains its original leather tab nicely maker marked and dated. The buckle retains the original wartime applied camouflage paint.

    These two small paper bags contain a chemical agent that heats up when wet. These where issued to units fighting on the eastern front and meant to be carried in the overcoat pockets. They are dated 1943. Most of these where used up during the war, finding a pair in good condition is hard! A very nice extra for a eastern front display!

    Rare wartime barrel changing mitt for the MG34 and MG42. When firing the MG34 and MG42 continuously the German soldiers where presented with a harsh and difficult task: changing the barrel. The MG34 and MG42 where both made with a quick-change barrel and to help in the changing of the barrel these gloves where invented and issued. These gloves where issued with the accessories of the MG34 and MG42. It is simply used by placing the hand under the strap and using the pad to cover your hand when you grab the hot, sometimes even glowing barrel. The barrel is then placed in the Laufschützer to cool down and a cool new barrel is inserted. According to regulations, the barrel had to be changed after 150 rounds fired continuously. Hard to find item!
