Very nice pre war manufactured mess kit cover as can be seen inside the Affe/Tornister. Interestingly this example seems to have never been attached to an Affe/Tornister but most likely issued loose inside of it. The leather closing straps is nicely maker marked and dated 1938. Very nice example!

Late war Bekleidungstasche 31
The Bekleidungstasche 31 was a standardized piece of equipment meant to carry a spare uniform pieces. Bags like these where often carried into the field and mostly kept together with the Rucksack. A nice late variation without rollers on the buckles and marked with a RB number. It is in very good, unissued condition and all the leather is supple on this bag.

A very nice interesting variation which is higher then the usual butterdish. It opens in a quarter of a turn like it should and is in great condition without cracks or damages.

Widbiller was 33 years old and was killed 18.1.1945 and is buried in Daileden, Germany. The database at the graveyard indicates his Erkennungsmarke reads 22563 – SS Pi.A.Btl. 2 indicating 2. SS Panzerdivision Das Reich.
