Published Erkennungsmarke 1/Kr. Sch. Batl. 1 indicating 2 Kompanie, Kradschützen Bataillon 1 which in 1940 was art of the 1. Panzerdivision. In 1942 it was renamed into Panzer-Aufklärungsabteilung 4 in the 24. Panzerdivision. The 1. Kompanie was the Panzerspähkompanie. In 1943 it was added to the 4. Panzerdivision.

Rare Erkennungsmarke Ost-Art. Abt. 752 indicating Ost-Artillerie-Abteilung 752. This unit was stationed in Guérande, near Sainte Nazaire. During the D-Day invasion they were sent to Normandy where it fought alongside the 265 Infanterie Division. A portion of the Division fought during operation Cobra and the other secured the town and fortifications of Sainte Nazaire and Lorient. Hard to find original example! with a nice base for further research.

Erkennungsmarke Stamm. Kp./Pz. Ers. Abt. 11 indicating Panzer-Ersatz-Abteilung 11. This unit supplied replacements for Panzer Abteilung 65 and Panzer Regiment 9, 11 and 27.

Erkennungsmarke ST. KP. PZ. Pi. ERS. BTL. 80 indicating Stamm Kompanie Panzer Pionier Ersatz Bataillon 80 supplied replacements for Panzer Pionier Bataillon 27 (17. Panzerdivison) and 38 (2. Panzerdivision). Pz. Pi. Bat 27 served on the eastern front. Pz. Pi Bat 38 served on the Western front and was destroyed in Normandy, reformed and took part in the Ardennes offensive. Nice and rare Erkennungsmarke!

Erkennungsmarke Stamm Kp. Pz. E. u. A. Abt. 204 indicating Stamm Kompanie Panzer Ersatz und Ausbildungs Abteilung 204. This unit supplied replacement troops for the following units;

Panzer-Abteilung 12; Panzer-Abteilung z.b.V. 12 was later merged in Panzer Regiment Brandenburg under Panzer Grenadier Division Brandenburg
Panzer-Abteilung 127; served under the 22. Panzerdivision, later 27. Panzerdivision. A small part was merged into Panzer Regiment 24 under the 24. Panzerdivision and sent to France. The major part of this unit was merged into schweren Panzer-Abteilung 509.
Panzer-Abteilung 215; was renamed Panzer-Abteilung 115 in the 15. Panzer-Grenadier-Division fought the last part of the war on the Western Front. It fought in the Battle of the Bulge, where it participated in the Siege of Bastogne and in Operation Blockbuster, serving under the First Parachute Army. It surrendered to the British at war’s end.

Panzer-Regiment 204; 22. Panzerdivision, later split up in schwere Panzer-Abteilung 509 and Panzer Regiment 201.

Erkennungsmarke for the 1. Stamm Kompanie Schwere Artillerie-Ersatz und Ausbildungs-Abteilung 309. This training unit provided troops for both Artillery Regiments when they were stationed at the Westwall in the early days of the war and took part in the campaign through France in May 1940. It provided troops to the following (interesting) units. The Erkennungsmarke is complete with its original string.
