Early pattern M31 breadbag
€110.00Very nice early pattern M31 breadbag made out of the post 1939 (1940-1945) fabric green fabric. The breadbag is made in the early pattern with leather reinforcements on the belt loops. The breadbag is nicely marked on the back of the hook/strap with a faded but still clearly noticeable makers mark. Sadly the bag has a rather large hole in the left bottom!

The breadbag is marked 10 39 RADBA5 which indicates this example was issued to the Reichsarbeitsdienst in October 1939. Excellent RAD issue breadbag in good used but not abused condition!

There is discussion about the manufacturer of these buckles but the design and finish of these buckles is typical for the Flemish production for me. These buckles where recently found in the former Hitlerjugend recruitment office in Brugge, Belgium. Of 26 buckles found I have the opportunity to offer you several examples. There will not be a restock of these buckles as the source is empty.
