    M42 messkit marked CFL 43 indicating production by Carl Feldhaus Aluminium-und Metallwerke, Lüdenscheid. It is a typical late war piece manufactured in steel. The exterior is covered in soot from having been on a fire. The lid and bottom are a very tight fit and difficult to open. Nice piece in used condition.

    US 82nd airborne Ike Jacket ID’ed S5885. The jacket comes with a shirt with the same laundry number and a 82nd airborne patch. The jacket has the rank of Staff Sergeant to a Infantry regiment. The jacket has a ribbon bar indicating Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign and European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal. This last ribbon comes with a spearhead and four stars indicating he partook in Husky, D-Day, Market Garden and possibly Varsity. It is decorated with the Fourragère or lanyard for France, the Netherlands and Belgium. The Ike jacket shirt would be a nice base for further research!

    Rare original US M1938 parsons jacket with pocket flaps. One of the rarer to find garments this is the predecessor of the M1941 field jacket. US M1938 ‘Parsons’ field jacket named Schulz and laundry codes; 7846C-68 and 353 C 21373. The jacket is a very nice example in my opinion only lightly worn condition. The garment is a nice medium to large size. The garment has all originally sewn buttons and factory sewn zipper. Normally the Parsons jackets come without epaulettes but this example looks to have them integrally sewn into the garment. This in my opinion possibly a period made privately purchased example made by Bancroft. The jacket is in very good condition and is in my opinion one of the rarer US army issue garments to find!

The helmet is complete with its original Firestone navy blue liner that was painted together with the shell. Nice and attractive US Navy M1 helmet in excellent condition!

The helmetis a nice untouched example as can be seen by the untouched verdigris, patina and oxidation on the shell. The helmet is complete with its original Westinghouse liner that is complete with its leather chinstrap. Nice and attractive US Navy M1 helmet in excellent condition!

    Rare, untouched US Navy M1 fixed bale helmet with period navy markings. The shell is a typical McCord produced example with factory sewn chinstraps. The helmet has period applied Navy markings BOS’N, indicating boatswain. The bo’s’n, bos’n, or bosun, also known as a deck boss, or a qualified member of the deck department, is the most senior rate of the deck department and is responsible for the components of a ship’s hull. The boatswain supervises the other members of the ship’s deck department, and typically is not a watchstander, except on vessels with small crews. Additional duties vary depending upon ship, crew, and circumstances. Rare original US Navy helmet with period markings in untouched condition!

This cross was instituted as a decoration to be awarded to NSB members in German service who had taken part in the campaign against Russia. The cross is in excellent condition with as far as I can see no damage to the enamel. The box is in good condition with most of the original finish remaining. Hard to find cased example!

The compass is in working condition and often if not most of the time missing. The invasion money is for the French invasion. There are two of the original Silk ‘Escape’ maps. There is one two sided Holland, Germany 43/C and 43/D map but the rare one is the one sided France I.S.9. (WEA) map which is dated March 1944. This is a very nice and complete set in excellent condition, a must have for US and British Airborne collectors!
