Allthough FJR3 was formed in August 1940; the first photograph in the album clearly shows a Jäger portrait who is wearing several awards but most specifically a Dutch FN1922 holster which could only be a souvenir of the 1940 battle in the Netherlands and as such suggests he was transferred from a different Fallschirmjäger Regiment. The album contains 125 nice, clear photographs with many interesting subjects ranging from vehicles to tanks, heavy weapons, camouflage and equipment photos. The grave photos all point to units in Fallschirmjäger Regiment 3. This is a very nice photo album which would be a great base for further research!
