Tall M38 gasmask canister in brush painted grey camouflage

Textbook blue grey field repainted gasmask. The canister externally features a field applied grey overpaint which is typical for Kriegsmarine and Luftwaffe troops. The canister retains up to 80% of this period repaint, and comes with its period affixed straps which is damaged on one end but complete. The canister retains its original mask and is nicely named Gefreiter Walter Rieth which could be a nice base for further research!
