Soldbuch Grouping to Stabsartzt Dr Theo Hoeft Festungs Bataillon 906 / 135. Theo was born 23.10.01 in Rensburg. He entered service 8.9.1939 with II Batterie Artillerie Regiment 246. He was later transferred to Festungs Bataillon 906 stationed in Korsika and Genua. Later he was transferred to Festungs Brigade 135 which was the staff of the Battaillon 902, 905, 906, 907 and 908. It was also stationed in Korsika and Elba. At the end of the war this unit was subordened under the Kommandantur Geua.
He was issued a P08 but later bought his own pistol. He was issued a flashlight 25.6.43 but lost it a month later. He was issued a folding bed and a single man tent on 19.7.1943. As a Stabsartzt he was hospitalised multiple times between 1942 and 1945 for typhus, Malaria and Fleckfieber.
He was awarded the Deutsches Schutzwall Ehrenzeichen. The Iron Cross II Klasse with the 246 Infanterie Division. Then the Ostmedaille, KVK2 and KVK2.
The grouping is accompanied with his personal photographs and his POW recors of his time in the US.
It is quite rare to find a Soldbuch for a officer. There hundreds of Soldbucher of enlisted men to each officer. The Soldbuch is well filled in and would in my opinion be a great example for further research!
