Huet 8×24 H/6400 leather periscope case

A World War 2 ‘rabbit ear’ trench binocular periscope, 8×24 magnification, made in Paris by Huet and bearing the German army H/6400 stamp.  Such binoculars were designed for watching over enemy lines from the safety of the trench, without the operator having to stick his head above the parapet and into enemy fire.

Nice and original leather carrying case for the 8×24 periscope. These periscopes and their carrying cases are produced in France by the company Huet, Paris. These optics they produced for the Wehrmacht were marked with the army H/6400 stamp. Nice wartime optic case produced in occupied France!
