ET71 M38 single decal Fallschirmjäger camouflage helmet

Beautiful Luftwaffe Fallschirmjäger M38 helmet with multiple wartime applied camouflage paint finishes. The helmet is a size 71 which is the biggest for this type of helmet. The helmet has its factory placed liner and partial chinstrap. The helmet externally retains up to 65% of its wartime camouflage paint. The helmet was painted over in blue, with a Lorraine cross engraved in the front. My best guess is that this helmet was a souvenir of a french resistance fighter. The top of the helmet has a grey finish applied, under which a shrapnel damage can be seen. The helmet is not mint; but perfect for a display as the grey paint on top will not be visible on a mannequin!
