ET66 M35 concrete / Rautarn camouflage helmet
A stunning chunky camouflage M35 helmet. The helmet shell is marked ET66 which indicates production by Eisenhüttenwerke, Thale. The lot number of the helmet is 3606 indicating a double decal Heer helmet. The helmet retains up to 95% of its thick wartime applied camouflage paint. The thick textured paint is often referred to as Rautarn or even Zimmerit.
Looking at the left side of the helmet the contours of a Heer decal can be seen through the paint. On the right side of the helmet another decal can be seen peeking through the cracks in the thick concrete camouflage paint. The helmet has a few cracks in the paint showing the original apple green colour underneath. The helmet is a nice large size and is in good lightly used condition. The helmet retains its original liner and chinstrap with its pins deeply embedded into their concrete base. Would make a excellent addition to any camouflage collection and it would be very hard to find one in better condition!
