Erkennungsmarke L.K. III / A.R. 195 indicating 3. Leichte Kolonne, Artillerie Regiment 195. The Erkennungsmarke is in good condition. The 195 Artillerie Regiment served with the 95. Infanterie Division which in 1939 was stationed on the Westwall and took part in the Westfeldzug. In Juli 1941 the division moved to Ukraine and fought at Kursk. Rshew, Jelnja, Brjansk, Gomel, Bobruisk. In the winter of 1943/1944 it was repurposed into a Division Neue Art or a ’44 type division’ (more information of this type of division). In september 1944 it was outfitted at Ostpreußen. It was moved to Kauen where it reflected a large Russian attack. It fought towards the Ostsee coast where it had to retreat to the Breslau Stellung. After this it took many losses and retreated to the Dresden stellung, to retreat to Tauroggen and Ragnit Bridgehead. It crossed the Memel on October 22. It was captured by the Russians between Pillau and Hela.
