CKL66 M42 single decal Heer brush painted camouflage helmet
Superb large sized single decal Heer m42 helmet marked CKL66 indicating production by Eisen- u. Huettenwerke, Thale, Harz. The helmet was originally sourced from a non-collector in the Netherlands and has only been in one collection since. The helmet is a very nice one looker example of a Heer camouflage helmet. The decal was carefully painted around and it hasn’t been cleaned. The camouflage pattern indicates it once had a leather or rubber band around the helmet prior to camouflaging. The helmet is named to Gerschk and numbered 19233 indicating further research could be possible! The helmet retains its original liner and chinstrap. The chinstrap shows a unique attribute having the buckle painted in tan camouflage paint! The liner and split pins on the helmet are original to the helmet and have never been removed. A fantastic example of a original camouflage helmet with loads of patina and character.
