Flieger Ausbildings regiment 51 1.4.39 in Weimar-Nohra from Flieger-Ersatz-Abteilung 51. In 1941 moved to Antwerpen, and was renamed Flieger-Regiment 51. In 1942 strength was increased to 3 battalions. Was absorbed by the 3. and 5. Fallschirm-Jäger-Divisions on 9.9.44. An Ausbildungs-Bataillon was reformed on 9.10.44 in Luftgau VI. A very nice and interesting gasmask canister which has a very good base for further research. The Fallschirmjäger units later fought in the Ardennes offensive!
