  • Rare early pattern Dutch Stormdolk

Rare first pattern(!) Dutch M1917 Stormdolk in very good condition. The dagger comes with its very rare first model scabbard that was made without the leather securing strap around the handle. This strap was intended to keep the dagger from slipping out of the scabbard when not in use. This strap was later added to most if not all of the first pattern scabbards but this one seems to have missed that mandatory modification. The Scabbard is in very good condition without any modifications or repairs and is nicely marked CW indicating production by the Centrale Werkplaats. The dagger itself is in very good condition with most of its original blueing remaining to the blade. The handle is nicely marked and retains a nice patina. The dagger is numbered 1901 B and is original to the scabbard – looking at early M17 daggers it seems that the scabbards where not numbered. The dagger was recently found in the vicinity of Tilburg, the Netherlands. • Rare Dutch “VerBliFa” made M42 canteen

Beautiful and very rare canteen made by the Dutch company VerBliFa (De Vereenigde Blikfabrieken) during the German occupation. The canteen is in used but still good condition and isn’t damaged in any way! VerBliFa (De Vereenigde Blikfabrieken) was the main manufacturer of the Dutch pre 1940 army mess kits, canteens and other stuff, these items were made in the exact same way. Stamped sheet metal and then tinned! Most of the examples are found in The Netherlands as well. The canteen cup is missing a lot of its shiny silver coloured finish. The canteen and cup are both unmarked which is often the case with these Dutch produced canteens. Maybe one of the rarest variant of the M42 canteen there is, and for sure one of the best canteens I have ever offered!

  • Tan MG34 barrel carrier

When firing the MG34 and MG42 continuously the German soldiers where presented with a harsh and difficult task: changing the barrel. The MG34 and MG42 where both made with a quick-change barrel and to help in the changing of the barrel these gloves where invented and issued. These gloves where issued with the accessories of the MG34 and MG42. It is simply used by placing the hand under the strap and using the pad to cover your hand when you grab the hot, sometimes even glowing barrel. The barrel is then placed in the Laufschützer or barrel carrier to cool down and a cool new barrel is inserted. According to regulations, the barrel had to be changed after 150 rounds fired continuously. Every MG team had one or two spare barrels in spare barrel carriers with their field equipment. The MG34 barrel carrier is in very good condition with 90% of the original tan colour remaining. The carrier was once overpainted in blue grey over the original tan factory paint. The carrier is nicely marked beq 1943 indicating production by Framo-Werke G.m.b.H., Hainichen/Sachsen. The carrier is complete with its original LUX marked strap and in very good condition. 475.00

Excellent and extremely rare left sided pouch as intended for combat pioneers. The bag features extremely rare and hardly ever encountered dark green coarse webbing straps. These straps have only been encountered at these combat pioneer pouches, or canteens as far as my knowledge goes. All by all equipment which features this dark green coarse webbing is extremely rare and wanted by collectors. The bag is in overall good, almost mint condition and seems to be unissued. No markings can be found. The atypical construction of this pouch with a range of different materials including the dark green coarse webbing makes this bag impossible to upgrade! For sure one of the best single combat pioneer pouches I have ever offered!
