HVNG.’ (Franz Joseph I, by the Grace of God Emperor of Austria, King of Bohemia etc. Apostolic King of Hungary and dated ‘1830 18 VIII 1930’; the reverse with the lesser arms of Austria-Hungary, inscribed ‘SIGNUM MEMORIAE’ (Token of Remembrance) at the base. The camouflage used for the construction of this garment is the so called hard-edged Sumpftarn which was developed in 1943. The trousers are in excellent condition without any damages and very bright beautiful colours. Hard to upgrade!

This is a beautiful and matching set consisting of a Waffenrock complete with its typical pre war Steingrau, red piped Waffenrock trousers. The garment retains its original insignia for Beobachtungsabteilung 17 which was part of the 17. Infanteriedivision. The garments are in good, lightly worn condition. A Beobachtungsabteilung was a reconnaissance and observing section for German Artillery units. This unit was serving in the front line 99% of the time, even some times in front of the infantry. This is a very nice matching set!
