  • Heer EM / NCO Pionier visor by Extra Klasse

    850.00

Textbook, untouched Heer EM / NCO Pionier or Pioneer visor by Extra Klasse. This is a nice example in untouched and uncleaned condition. The visor has some moth damages but is otherwise a nice undamaged example. The visor retains its nice thick felt body with black felt piping and original chinstrap. The sweatband is present and reinforced with a newspaper folded underneath. The sweatshield is damaged but clearly reads Extra Klasse which is a desired maker marking. • Waffen-SS Soldbuch to SS-Panzergrenadier Hermann Lähndorf, SS-Panzergrenadier Ersatz Btl 9 KIA near Berlin 1945

    850.00

Waffen-SS Soldbuch to SS-Panzergrenadier Hermann Lähndorf. Issued on 9th of march 1945 in Stralsund at the Stamm Kompanie of SS Panzer Grenadier Ausbildungs und Ersatz Batailon 9. Hermann was born 29 April 1907 in Rensfeld. He was killed in action in April 1945 and buried in Beeskow which was a small town east of Berlin on the Spree river. Hermann was enlisted very late in the war and the front literally moved right to his base of training in March/April 1945. The training unit was responsible for supplying replacements for the Hohenstaufen division up to 1944. After that it was dissolved into the 32. SS-Freiwilligen Grenadier Division “30. Januar”. This unit saw heavy battles at the Seelow Hights, Beeskow which after it retreated trough the Halbe forest. Beeskow roughly being in between Seelow and Halbe. Nice late war Waffen-SS soldbuch which is a nice base for further research, for sure interesting example of a soldier that saw action in the last days of the war in the shadow of Berlin!

  • Wehrmacht u. Waffen-SS typewriter by Olympia

    850.00

Wehrmacht u. Waffen-SS typewriter by Olympia. Typical finished in factory field grey which is probably a army issed example. • Rare (!) orange bakelite canteen cup F7/K

    875.00

Incredibly rare original orange bakelite canteen cup. This is a rare opportunity to buy original orange bakelite canteen cup. This example was certainly MPD code marked just like the other examples but the markings are completely faded because of the time in the ground. The MPD code F7/K indicates production by a still unknown maker and the usage of urea resin (which is a certain type of Bakelite) with an organic filler material. The bakelite surface is affected by the time in the ground and thereby lost some of its smooth surface. The cup only has some minor discolorations which could probably be cleaned some more. Beautiful original and very rare example!

This cup was found in Berlin recently together with 12 complete and 5 damaged cups. They were dug up underneath remnants of a concrete floor together with other canteen cups and butterdishes. In 15 years of collecting I’ve only found one example for my personal collection: this is only the second time I’ve been able to acquire one. I have kept 3 cups for my personal collection, other then these there are no other orange cups on the market today that I am aware of. Rarer then most Knights Crosses.

  • US Navy M1 fixed bale helmet Boatswain

    875.00

Rare, untouched US Navy M1 fixed bale helmet with period navy markings. The shell is a typical McCord produced example with factory sewn chinstraps. The helmet has period applied Navy markings BOS’N, indicating boatswain. The bo’s’n, bos’n, or bosun, also known as a deck boss, or a qualified member of the deck department, is the most senior rate of the deck department and is responsible for the components of a ship’s hull. The boatswain supervises the other members of the ship’s deck department, and typically is not a watchstander, except on vessels with small crews. Additional duties vary depending upon ship, crew, and circumstances. Rare original US Navy helmet with period markings in untouched condition!

  • US M1 front seam fixed bale helmet named Dale with early Westinghouse liner

    875.00

To me this is one of the most prominent and typical US world war two issue GI helmet. The helmet has many interesting details for me which are typical to the GI’s serving in the ETO. The helmets shell has been blackened on the top which is a typical feature as most Soldiers would cook in their helmet shell on top of a fire. The interior also shows remnants of it having been used as a cooking vessel. The helmet is complete with its early Rayon tape Westinghouse liner which has been named numerous times and has numerous laundry numbers on it. This helmet is a textbook example of a GI helmet which is very hard to find. Maybe pricey but even for a textbook helmet as used with most GI’s, most of these suffered from repaints, reworks and have swivel bales. This is a textbook helmet which would be great on a Ardennes offensive display; the helmet itself was found in Luxemburg. Hard to upgrade combat piece!

  • Soldbuch grouping to Unteroffizier Adolf Rotsch, Fallschirmjäger Regiment 13, Ardennes

    875.00

Soldbuch grouping to Unteroffizier Adolf Rotsch who served with Fallschirmjäger Regiment 13 during the Ardennes offensive.

A Soldbuch belonging to a Feldwebel who began his military career in December 1941 with the Flieger-Ausbildungs-Regiment 42, based in Frankfurt an der Oder. After completing his basic training, he was assigned to the Fliegerhorst Kompanie (e) 3/1, which was stationed in Brjansk, Russia, from 1941 until 1943. In 1943, he was awarded both the EK 2 and EK 1, an unusual achievement for a member of a Fliegerhorst Kompanie.

In April 1944, his unit was renamed Fliegerhorstkommandatur (e) 257 III. By October 1944, he was drafted into the Fallschirmjäger Ersatz und Ausbildungs Regiment 2. After a few weeks, he was sent to the 15./Fallschirmjäger Regiment 13, which was part of the 5th Fallschirmjäger Division. This division, rebuilt in Holland, was preparing for the “Wacht am Rhein” offensive, better known as the Battle of the Bulge.

On December 16, 1944, during the fighting in Luxembourg, between Stolzembourg and Vianden, the division was ordered to break through the lines near Vianden and Bette. Following an artillery bombardment in the early morning, the Fallschirm Pionier Battalion 5 constructed bridges over the Our River, allowing the 15th and 13th Fallschirmjäger Regiments to cross successfully. The town of Vianden itself was captured by the 4th company of the 5th Fallschirm Pionier Battalion under the command of Leutnant Hans Prigge, who later fell near Livarchamps, Belgium. Elements of the 14th Fallschirmjäger Regiment and the 11th Fallschirm Sturmgeschutz Brigade also crossed the Our River, reaching their objectives. The division achieved its goal of establishing a defensive line south of Bastogne.

However, by the end of December 1944, the U.S. Third Army, commanded by General Patton, broke through the division’s lines. In January 1945, the division was forced to retreat through Luxembourg and reached the village of Dasburg on the German side of the border by the end of the month.

On January 12, 1945, the Feldwebel was hospitalized at the Reserve Lazarett Jugenheim III for frostbite (wound code 33). After 1.5 months of recovery, he was promoted to Feldwebel. Shortly thereafter, he rejoined his unit, which continued to retreat towards the Harz region. The remnants of the 5th Fallschirmjäger Division were eventually captured by American forces. During the final battles, he was wounded by a bullet (wound code 31).

The Soldbuch is in good condition with no missing pages, though an award page seems to have been removed. It comes with a portrait photo showing his EK 1 award. His known awards include the Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2nd class with Swords, Wound Badge in Black, EK 2, and EK 1. It is likely that he received other awards, such as the Erdkampfabzeichen, but these cannot be confirmed.

Very hard to find original Fallschirmjäger Soldbuch with Ardennes references!

  • British RAF combat report Mosquito downing a FW190 over Saint Lo, June 1944

    900.00

British RAF combat report Mosquito downing a FW190 over Saint Lo, June 1944. This after action report indicates a Mosquito flewn by 488 Squadron’s E.F. Bunting, and C.P. Reed. During the night of 16 to 17th of June 1944 near St. Lo with a Mosquito mark VIII. The Mosquito took off from RAF station Zeals near Wiltshire. He was chasing a ‘Bogey’ FW 190 at 0416 hrs. As they flew behind it and gave it a one second burst the plane exploded in front of them and flew right through the debris. This damaged its starboard engine and meant that Bunting flew the plane back with one engine. Squadron leader pilot Edward Nigel Bunting, DFC, 488 Squadron Royal Air Force was killed in action 30th July 1944 and is buried in Neuville-Saint-Rémy, France. Rare to find original combat report depicting a airbattle over Normandy in 1944!

  • Rare set of combat pioneer side pouches with dark green coarse webbing straps

    950.00

Excellent and extremely rare set of side pouches for combat pioneers. The bag features extremely rare and hardly ever encountered dark green coarse webbing straps. These straps have only been encountered at these combat pioneer pouches, or canteens as far as my knowledge goes. All by all equipment which features this dark green coarse webbing is extremely rare and highly sought after by collectors. The set is in very good condition, it has one small repair and the long back straps has been reattached at some point. One of the two pouches features an ink stamp from postwar Czech storage, but these bags definitely belong to each other. The atypical construction of this pouch with a range of different materials including the dark green coarse webbing makes this set impossible to upgrade. For sure one of the best sets of combat pioneer pouches I have ever offered!

  • Grey leather Officers greatcoat for a Waffen-SS officer

    950.00

Grey leather Officers greatcoat for a Waffen-SS officer. The garment is sewn in a typical cut which was allowed to wear by officers in the Waffen-SS. It differs to most if not all of the grey leather trenchcoats by a number of details. The trenchcoat is fully lined in grey ‘Italian’ hbt rayon which is typical for Waffen-SS garments. Secondly, the coat has a faux rear waist strap which is not adjustable. The jacket never had a sleeve eagle but this also seems typical for this type of garment (see the original images in the gallery) – I have yet to find a period photo of a leather coat with a sleeve eagle. The shoulderstrap loops are removed but could easily be restored. This is a very rare, original example that in my opinion is a Waffen-SS issue piece.
