Philips “Knijpkat” type 7424-03 torch
€75.00Typical wartime “Knijpkat” torch. These flashlights where made utilizing forced labour from Konzentrationslager Herzogenbusch. Unlike most of the wartime used flashlights the “knijpkat” doesn’t have a battery but uses a small internal dynamo. The mechanism is in working condition but sometimes it falters a bit which is not disruptive. The “knijpkat” is in further mint condition and would look perfect in a display!

This is an early variant made out of aluminium and with the more circular shape. The case seems to be exposed to fire at some time. Very nice and hard to find early Umbral case!

The 6th, 7th and 8th Fallschirmjäger Divisions fell under the command of the II. Korps, Soldat Noll belonged to one of these three divisions. He was 17 years old when he was killed in action and is buried in Wesel.

€70.00Erkennungsmarke Infanterie Regiment 29 which served under the 3. Panzergrenadier Division. The Erkennungsmarke is in used condition. The 3. Infanterie, later Panzer Division fought at many interesting and famous battles; 1939 Polenfeldzug, 1940 Westfeldzug, 1941 Invasion of Russia, Stalingrad, 1943 renamed to 3. Panzergrenadier Division, Monte Cassino, Anzio, Nettuno, Rome, France; Mosel, Lothringen. It was moved in October 1944 to Aachen where it partook in the Battle of the town. Early December it was refreshed and prepared for the Ardennes offensive where it fought at the northern flank. Krinkelt, Elsenborn, Bastogne and Houffalize. Then it was moved back to Remagen and consequently to the Ruhrkessel where it went into captivity. A nice Erkennungsmarke which could be a good base for further research.
