    Scarce original second pattern Waffen-SS Oak C (!)camouflage pattern cover in combat used condition. The cover was originally found in Saint-Pierre-sur-Dives  (Normandy). The cover retains all of its originally sewn loops and vibrant colours in the camouflage pattern that really pops in hand. The cover is photographed on a M42 helmet in size 64 shell. The springs for the hooks are gone by the time, but otherwise it is complete. The cover is in good, combat worn condition and unlike many “mint” oak covers flooding the market today – this is a actually worn piece with loads of patina that is very hard to find.

The grouping consists of the following items: Q64 single decal M40 helmet, Manouvre recognition band for the helmet, Soldbuch and gasmask with canister which is named and numbered and noted in the Soldbuch. The Soldbuch has a large number of entries and is therefor in used condition. The helmet and gasmask are in near mint condition which is typical for Gebirgsjäger units which often did not field these items.

    The helmet is a textbook Heer single decal example marked Q64 indicating production by Quist. The helmet retains the external finish and decal up to 95%. The helmet retains its factory installed liner and chinstrap which is named to Albert. The gasmask is a typical canister with painted number but the mask inside is not a German but reissued foreign example.

    A unique opportunity to acquire a grouping consisting of a helmet, Soldbuch and a gasmask!

Starting its life as a standard single decal Heer helmet it was subsequently repainted in a winter whitewash which was later overpainted in a three-tone spray painted camouflage pattern. The helmet was at some point coated with a clear lacquer. The helmet is a nice example with a large portion of its wartime three-tone camouflage pattern showing. The helmet retains its factory installed liner. A nice example !

A nice late war helmet that has the tell-tale late war manufacturing with typical steel finish. The helmet was originally found in Antwerp, Belgium.     Nice example of a late war Q64 no decal M40 helmet in good used condition. The Quist firm produced the size 64 M40 helmet shell right up till late in 1944 whilst the other companies all adopted the M42 model. The helmet is a tell tale of the Quist quality with a shell blued prior to painting. The outside retains up to 85% of its factory applied textured paint. The inside is typical for these helmets finished without texture. This helmet was made for all the branches just like the M42 helmet without decal. The helmet features a field adapted and attached chinstrap which is original to the helmet. Hard to find late war M40 helmet without decal!

The helmet left the factory in Thale as a double decal Heer helmet but was reissued to the Polizei. The helmet retains both of its original in good condition and they show the underlaying heer decals. The helmet has a large battle damage on the top of the dome which seems to be a shrapnel damage. Excellent and hard to find reissue helmet with a large battle damage to the top of the dome!

The grey colour indicates they are made for Luftwaffe M35 helmets. I have found a few sets in unissued condition. This means you get a set of three, in unissued condition as pictured. Very hard to find spares; especially for the early helmets!

    Rare double runic SS-VT helmet marked ET64 indicating production by Eisenhuttenwerke Thale. The helmet features both of its original SS decals. One side has a textbook SS ET decal, and the other side has a textbook Pocher decal. These double runic helmets were worn by the Leibstandarte and Germania in the 1940 campaigns in Holland, Belgium and France. The helmet was at one point cleaned externally but retains its original finish and decals. The helmet retains its original liner and period installed chinstrap. The helmet is a very rare example that would be a cornerstone to any SS helmet collection. A very hard to upgrade, authentic example!
