    Rare first factory produced pattern MP38 u. MP40 magazine pouch in full rayon construction with square metal tips. This pouch is in obvious used condition and originally was displayed at the old and well known Falaise museum in Normandy. The pouch has multiple small shrapnel damages to the body and there is a small piece in the centre closing strap metal tip. Very hard to find and obvious combat worn magazine pouch!

The spoon is marked HRE40 but someone at some point tried to erase those markings. The large enamel spoon serves a good portion and is a impossible spare to find.

  • Wehrpass fo Obergfr. Steinebach 11. Panzer ‘Gespenster’ division

    Wehrpass of Obergefreiter Steinebach serving in several infantry units in the beginning of the war and 1943 was transferred to the 11. Panzer ‘Gespenster’ Division serving in the Werkstatt of Panzer Regiment 15. This unit fought in Russia in the region of Kirowograd and Tscherkassy. After heavy losses the entire division was pulled out of the front line and sent to the south of France to regroup. When the Allies invaded the south of France in August 1944, the division was sent to the Rhone valley and fought a delaying action towards Besancon and Belfort. Seeing some short action in Lorraine at the battle of Arracourt. The Division was sent to the Saar-Moselle triangle to hold off the US Third Army. in February 1945 the US 94th ID opened the attack from the Moselle river to take Saarburg. After penetrating the Westwall at Tettingen-Butzdorf, the 11th Panzerdivision was ordered to counterattack. Throwing the Americans back to the Orscholz line, a few days later they had to withdraw under heavy enemy pressure. By the end of February 1945 the unit took positions on the east bank of the Saar river opposite Ockfen. By March the division fought at Remagen and in the Ruhr pocket. Obergefreiter Steinebach was awarded with the Ostmedaille and later with the Kriegsverdienstkreuz II Klasse on 20 April 1945.

    Interesting Wehrpass for Augustin Scherwitzel KIA 1.1.1944 on the Landlenge von Perekop, Krim. The Wehrpass is in good used condition with all pages and loads of entries. Scherwitzel drafted in January 1940. He served in the following units; 537 Division, Sperr-Batl. 194, Infanterie Ersatz Regiment 605, Infanterie Regiment 151, Infanterie Regiment 759, Grenadier Regiment 759 and Grenadier Regiment 121. He received training for Sperr- und Sprengdienst, Gewehr 95, L.m.G. 30, Gewehr 98K and M.G. 26 (t). He was promoted to Gefreiter on 1.1.1943 and was awarded the Ostmedaille on 9.1.1943. The entries read Einsatz Jugoslavien 28.3.1941, Abwëhrkämpfe an Wolekow, 3.12.1942 Besatzungstruppe in Belgien Abschnitt Antwerpen, 5.1.1943 Küstenschutz an der Mittelmeerküste, 1.1.1944 Abwehrkämpfe an der Landlenge von Perekop.

The tunic comes with a nice set of two tropical painted belt hooks. The garment is a textbook early example that would be very hard to upgrade!

The case was sent home at the end of the war by a US soldier who noted his details to the top. This is the pinnacle of collecting Ersatz and surely one of the most sought after pieces in equipment!

The helmet is marked SE66 indicating production by Sachsichse Emaillierwerke AG. The helmet retains its factory installed liner and is void of a chinstrap. The helmet is named on the leather liner and inside the front visor. The helmet is published and surely one-looker original camouflage helmet that would be very hard to upgrade!

    One of the hardest parts to find for the German cavalry saddle; the Sattelüberwurf 34 connects the Packtaschen with the saddle and is a vital component for the German cavalry saddle. Very hard to find in any condition; let alone a very nice pre war variant!

  • Modified ammunition drum for the Zwillingslafette MG34

    Modified ammunition case for the MG34 Zwillinglafette. The drum is in very good condition with up to 90% of the original paint still present. These ammunition drums are often found with a late war modification because the Zwillingslafette was not really used that much. With this modification the mounts for the Lafette were removed with a saw. This happened to hundreds if not thousands of these cases. Removing the hooks left a piece of bare unpainted metal which ofcourse in true German fashion was swiftly covered in tan paint. Most people will tell you that it’s a camouflage drum but it’s simply not the case because only the modified examples have this tan paint and only on the place where the mounts have been removed.

    A stunning speckled brown bakelite 6×30 binocular case. Later in the war when the Germans ran out of pigment for bakelite they switched over to different fillers. Sawdust was one of the filling materials used, creating a interesting speckled finish. The brown bakelite dienstglas containers where mostly found with tan 6×30 binoculars. The case is in very good, undamaged condition and has a very aesthetic and vibrant light brown colour which would nicely attribute a late war uniform setup.
