Rare 1935(!) dated FF33 field telephone
Extremely rare 1935 dated FF33 (Feldfernsprecher 33) field telephone in great combat used condition. The small white board on the closing lid features a lot of period writing such as Ringleitung, Komp., 1. Zug, 2. Zug, 3. Zug, which indicates this piece has seen some real combat use! The lid has a one crack on one of the edges but the bakelite housing is except for one crack undamaged. The crank is not matching with the field telephone itself which is virtually always the case, the crank is an early 1937 dated example and seems to been together with the rest of the field telephone since the war ended. This is the earliest example I have ever seen and for sure one of the best field telephones I have ever had the pleasure to offer!
Note: The field phone appears to be in good shape and is complete with all the necessary parts to use it including the battery box which is mostly broken or missing. I have not opened or tested the field phone!

Late war three tone FF33 field telephone marked rsm 1944
Textbook and very interesting so-called three tone FF33 (Feldfernsprecher 33) field telephone. This example gets the three tone designation thanks to the textbook construction where the metal parts used are finished in three different colours: tan (yellow), black and blueish grey (Blaugrau) which is typical for 1944 dated examples where the FF33 first started to be made with tan coloured parts! The FF33 is nicely marked rsm 1944 which indicates production in 1944 by an unknown maker. It is also features a mark “ark” which is an abbreviation for Arktisch which indicates the field telephone is designed so it can be used arctic climates. Excellent and very interesting late war constructed FF33 which would be impossible to upgrade!

Tan MG34 barrel carrier
When firing the MG34 and MG42 continuously the German soldiers where presented with a harsh and difficult task: changing the barrel. The MG34 and MG42 where both made with a quick-change barrel and to help in the changing of the barrel these gloves where invented and issued. These gloves where issued with the accessories of the MG34 and MG42. It is simply used by placing the hand under the strap and using the pad to cover your hand when you grab the hot, sometimes even glowing barrel. The barrel is then placed in the Laufschützer or barrel carrier to cool down and a cool new barrel is inserted. According to regulations, the barrel had to be changed after 150 rounds fired continuously. Every MG team had one or two spare barrels in spare barrel carriers with their field equipment. The MG34 barrel carrier is in very good condition with 90% of the original tan colour remaining. The carrier was once overpainted in blue grey over the original tan factory paint. The carrier is nicely marked beq 1943 indicating production by Framo-Werke G.m.b.H., Hainichen/Sachsen. The carrier is complete with its original LUX marked strap and in very good condition.
