Original German militaria

Matching K98 bayonet marked fze 43 indicating production by F.W. Holler, Solingen. The bayonet is matching to its scabbard with the serial 5491 and has nice clean bakelite grips. The bayonet is in a good uncleaned, unsharpened and matching (!) condition with almost 99% of its factory blueing. Nice mid to late war example by the scarcer maker fze with nice red bakelite grips.

 

Panzer deathcard Panzerschütze Siegfried Oppel killed in action ‘Im Westen’ at Altkirch 20.11.44. Oppelt is buried in Cernay. Oppelt served in 3 Kompanie Panzer Abteilung Feldhernhalle. The archive card showing more information is not a part of the offering.

Beautiful folding E-tool maker marked VDW indicating production by Vereinigte Beckersche Werkzeugfabriken. Unlike many this one has never been repainted/stripped or refinished. Beautiful and textbook example!

Single Heer EM shoulderstrap for Gebirgsjäger troops. The tongues is period modified which is a common feat when used on a custom tailored garment as they usually had very narrow shoulderstrap loops.

Single tropical NCO  Luftwaffe shoulderstrap for a Unteroffizier in the Fallschirmjäger or flying personnel.

Nice and rare original Heer Panzer BeVo cap trapezoid in uniform removed condition.

Matching Heer M36 shoulderstraps for a Stabsfeldwebel der Infanterie. Rare pair with period added cross which is a unknown unit marking.

Nice original Luftwaffe tropical breast eagle in good uniform removed condition.

Rare pre war SA Zeltbahn marked “Warei”- Zeltbahn D.R.P. “Warei”-Patentzelte Walter Reichert Berlin NW 40 S.A. Sportschule Hammelburg II. The Zeltbahn retains most of its factory sewn buttons and would be hard to upgrade. First time for me to encounter this type of Zeltbahn!

Original Fallschirmjäger deathcard to August Zisselsberger, Gefreiter in einem Fallschirmjägerregiment. Nice detailed picture with equipment and a Fallschirmjäger badge pinned through his smock.

Original deathcard to Grenadier Ludwig Opfinger, Killed in action 12.10.1944 in the Netherlands. Opfinger is buried is Ysselstein.

Unique offering of a original Period altered battledress to a member of the First Polish Independent Parachute Brigade. The battledress is a typical Polish used example with period altered pointed and opened collar, the shoulderstraps with aluminum Tresse in the rank of Sergeant is also period sewn to the garment. The collar insignia are a neat fit and fit exactly into the narrowed collar points which is typical when we look at period portrait photographs of Polish paratroopers. The collar tabs are of a early pattern and in good condition with the felt backing. The qualification badge is in good condition and is marked TOBIE OJCZYZNO 451 which is a very low number which is also seen with Arnhem veterans. The badge ring is marked Kirkwood & Son Edinburgh. The badge had its combat jump wreath soldered on at some point; but it broke off as can be seen on many original badges. The badge is affixed through the breast with a reinforced hole with backing wool. The shoulder titles Poland are nice original printed examples and are quite rare examples. They are handsewn to the sleeves. The Battledress is slightly altered; the collar points are narrowed and the front buttonholes are removed and sewn shut. There is a small hook underneath the waistband and the shoulders are slightly taken in and have been reinforced. The Battledress was found together with the blue grey beret when it was obtained from a Veteran approximately 38 years ago. The Beret is not the textbook Polish issue type, but is a wartime example with a original Polish capbadge. The Battledress looks to have all insignia period applied and has the typical Polish paratrooper modifications. A very hard to obtain battledress, even if you’re only counting the insignia – surely a once in a lifetime opportunity to obtain a full set!
