Pre/early war Heer breadbag
Typical early/pre war example with leather reinforcements on the belt loops. The breadbag features a mix of black and brown leather which is unusual for an early production breadbag. The leather parts for the D-ring are marked with a K, probably an initial of the original owner. Interesting breadbag in used but good condition.

German reissued Italian messkit
The Italian army messkit (Gavetta Modello 1930) was a commonly seen item within the German army. Prior to re-issue in the German army they where mostly painted green by the Germans. This example came out of a small find in Italy just recently and would be hard to upgrade.

Very nice black pebbled leather mapcase in good used condition. the mapcase is beautifully marked Sachs & Deisselberg, Hamburg 1944, This is the first time I have encountered 1944 made equipment by this maker!

M31 canteen marked MN 40
Nice early 1940 dated M31 canteen in good used condition. The aluminium flask itself is nicely marked MN 40 which indicates production by Menesa Metallindustrie GmbH. Neunkirchen-Saar in 1940. The cup is MPD coded 1W/S which indicates production by Julius Posselt, Gablonz an der Neisse, Reichsgau Sudetenland and the usage of Phenolic resin (bakelite) with sawdust as the filler material. Nice early exmample in good used condition!

Tropical M42 canteen
Excellent “tropical” M31 canteen with interesting very light coloured webbing straps. The red painted steel flask itself seems to be unmarked. The cup is MPD coded F7/K which indicates production by a still unknown maker and the usage of urea resin (which is a certain type of Bakelite) with an organic filler material. Stunning M31 canteen in pretty good condition with interesting straps!

Excellent set of matching private purchased Heer NCO shoulderstraps in very good condition. The straps feature the cypher 9, the red Artillerie Waffenfarbe and 3 rank pips which all together indicate that this pair was intended for a Stabsfeldwebel in Artillerie-Regiment 9. Excellent set in great condition!

Very nice original original can of US gas detection paint marked Paint liquid vesicant detector M5 type 2. These paints where used by American troops to camouflage equipment but also used on WD motorcycles. The paint inside is still liquid.

Third pattern issue Marschkompass “A” with anodized lid made by F.W. Breithaupt & Sohn, Kassel (clk)
Excellent German army issue compass or Marschkompass. This is the the third pattern issued example made with a bakelite housing and with a capital “A” on top which indicates a clockwise 64 Mills direction. The production of this third pattern started post May 1944. The compass is nicely marked cxn which indicates production by F.W. Breithaupt & Sohn, Kassel. The compass is in good used condition and features a black/blueish anodized lid which is rare to encounter and typical for this manufacturer! Nice late war “A” marked compass!

Late war M31 Splittertarn Zeltbahn marked RBNr.
Textbook late war M31 Zeltbahn or shelter quarter in Splittertarn camouflage in hard used condition. The Zeltbahn has been stripped of its original buttons which sometimes done when it was worn as a rain poncho. This example is nicely marked RBNr. which has sadly became unreadable. The Zeltbahn has pretty faded colours but is still a nice example for display!

Late war riveted tornister marked Theodor Seibold, Offenbach A.M. 1943
Typical late war manufactured M39 Tornister/Affe in good condition. The Tornister features leather straps which interestingly have been riveted instead of stitched which is rather unusual to encounter on a Tornister. The Tornister is the M39 pattern with hooks instead of carryings straps, these are interchangeable though. The Tornister is nicely marked Theodor Seibold, Offenbach A.M. 1943. Nice late war example!
