Perfect example which would fit nicely in any winter display!

    A nice late war set of original rifle grenade pouches in very good, unissued and undamaged condition. These pouches where issued to carry the heavy rifle grenades and the special rifle grenade blanks to shoot these. These bags are finished in blue canvas with riveted canvas parts. The inside of these pouches feature small sections in which the rifle grenade cartridges where kept. The pouches are marked underneath the flap but it is hard to tell what the stamp says exactly.

    Rare wartime barrel changing mitt for the MG34 and MG42. When firing the MG34 and MG42 continuously the German soldiers where presented with a harsh and difficult task: changing the barrel. The MG34 and MG42 where both made with a quick-change barrel and to help in the changing of the barrel these gloves where invented and issued. These gloves where issued with the accessories of the MG34 and MG42. It is simply used by placing the hand under the strap and using the pad to cover your hand when you grab the hot, sometimes even glowing barrel. The barrel is then placed in the Laufschützer to cool down and a cool new barrel is inserted. According to regulations, the barrel had to be changed after 150 rounds fired continuously. Hard to find item!

    Interesting tabbed aluminium Luftwaffe belt buckle by Wiedmann 1938 with unit markings and field repaint. This belt buckle is a nice pre war Luftwaffe belt buckle manufactured in aluminium by E. Ferd. Wiedmann, Frankfurt am Main. The buckle is a nice, pre war variant which has three layers of paint. The first is the silver factory coating. This was overpainted in tan camouflage paint, worn down and later in Luftwaffe blue paint. The buckle is unit marked Fliegerhorst Kommandantur Schweinfurt. Nice tabbed and pre war example with interesting details!

Easy to keep with you and perfect to clarify and mark maps! The case is still in good condition and the labels are still readable. The label clearly reads: “Landkarten-Stifte Nr. 540“. This set still retains 4 of the original pencils and a period eraser. These sets were privately purchased from the manufacturer Eberhard Faber which designed this set together with some other products (such as the Taktik-etui) in a line with products designed for usage within the Wehrmacht (Spezial-Erzeugnisse für die Wehrmacht). This small variant is one of the rarest products to find from the Eberhard Faber product line and this example comes straight out of my personal collection! Belongs in any map-case collection!
